You are right Woody. No jobs, people move, leaving those who stay shouldering the school costs. 3 Hrs. of daycare..What parent wouldn't want 3 hours of free babysitting, to get things done. Getting a break for only 3 hrs would be awesome, especially if it's free.

JPS64. How do you consider pointing out the "under utilization", & "inefficient utilization" of that facility, to be "IGNORANT" ??

Superdave.. Yes the driver tried to switch seats. Why ??? Because a Milton Township police car was lying in the weeds, trying to generate some ticket revenue. When that scared driver got up, he probably put his hand on the steering wheel, spining it, & therefore causing the van to spin out of control. If that Milton township police car had NOT been there, those seven kids probably would not have died that night. I'm not positive, but I think the Milton township police have stopped their efforts to police the interstate since that terrible night. IT JUST IS NOT NECESSARY.. i DON'T SEE HOW "SELLING MAGIZINES" HAS ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE ACCIDENT.

Staticrush is right-on.. The waste at that facility is obscene. It takes one hour to do an inspection. 27 per week, leaves 13 hrs/week.. for one person, wasted. How many people are assigned to work there. What are they doing while that one person is spending 27 hrs/week inspecting ???
And, yes, every-time I go by there, it is CLOSED. What an inefficient utilization of resources... If that were a private business, it would have gone out-of-business . long ago..
On Wis. seeks federal stimulus money for rail line

How easy it is to forget the $4.00/gal gas. When gas is over $5.00/gal people will flock to the rails. Ridership of the rails will be proportionate to the cost of gas. When gas goes up, people will ride the train, when it's down, they will drive their cars. So, it looks like the price of gas, & the taxes on gas will go up, just to force people to use more efficient transportation.. And that is not a bad idea. With 300 million people we have to STOP driving, & start riding. Just think what life will be like when that 300 million doubles in the next 20 years..

I 43... What a joke. The company that laid that concrete, took the money, & ran. They should be held responsible for shoddy workmanship. But we know that will never happen. Wouldn't it be ironic, if they got the bid to fix the problem that they caused !!!

Deciding this issue is like deciding which leg is most important on a three legged stool.
1. kids get a "head start"
2. Parents get rid of the kids for a few hours, & can actually get something done.
3. Tax burden is disastrous for those retired folks on fixed incomes.[and most others too]
The only way to resolve this is to come to some sort of consensus, because all 3 "legs" are equally important.
