On Walker says he won't negotiate with unions
Posted on February 12 at 12:51 p.m. ( Suggest removal )
Walker is just continuing a grand old Republican idea which is to destroy unions because they promote worker rights and if there isn't anything that corporations don't like it is paying workers for their labor. So, unless you belong to the rich elite be prepared for low wages and minimum benefits. Now get back to work!
On Why everything starts with repeal

No repeal unless an alternative bill is in place that meets the needs of all people regardless of social class. Charles is, and always has been, just a mouthpiece for the elites. This country is awash in money, the only problem is that most of it is in the hands of the top 1% of the population.
On Should lawmakers reduce restrictions on payday loans?

The payday loan industry, like the major financial industry, engage in usury. Usury is a sin and used to be outlawed in this country. The only people who engaged in it were criminals. The republicans like usury because it creates debt slaves and provides an endless stream of money through interest and fees. Usury, the Devil's work, should not be allowed, ever.

Todd - Your president is no "Fool", fools don't get to become president. You may not like your president but insulting him to give weight to your opinions about life and conception is poor form to say the least. Try to make an argument for your view without resorting to insults.
On Tax increases hurt business and kill jobs

DrTalk - "If they pay less in taxes, then they make more money and then they can expand their business and hire more employees."
It sounds like common sense but we know that just because a business owner makes more money does not mean that more people will be hired. There is just as good a chance that the extra money will pocketed to make the owner richer. Where is the documented evidence that lowering taxes increases employment?

Just because a Bush appointee and Time magazine are impressed about the potential of IPS cells doesn't make them viable alternatives to embryonic stem cells. Considerable research is required to validate and confirm whether stem cells of any kind will be useful. Also, making fun of Jolie's lips is a sign of intellectual dishonesty as it has no relationship to the stem cell debate and is a sign poor character on the author's part.

I'm sorry but the author talks about "massive" tax increases but doesn't say what that means so it is hard to judge the merit of his argument. It is a common ploy to scare people into believing that jobs are at stake when businesses are asked to contribute to our tax base. Let's have some solid evidence to back up the claim that businesses are going to layoff people due to the proposed tax increases. Evidence please not speculation.

The character of the Republican party is on display and it is one of arrogance and deceit. The posters who are cheering the loss of worker rights stripped without discussion by the majority party are showing their character too, and it is not pretty. The 14 senators have no job to do as the majority can pass whatever they want, whenever (almost) they want. This state has elected for one-party rule, the party of Koch.
