On Wis. father charged in death of infant son

This story, and others like it, make me furious, and sad. I have two children, I used to have 3. My oldest son passed away in 02, at 2 1/2. He had cerebral palsy, spastic quadriplegia, brain damage and a seizure disorder. He died in his sleep due to a weak heart, during a spasm. I realize that he is in a better place now, but I would do anything to have him back. I don't care how stressed out a parent gets. This is inexcuseable. Raising a child with multiple disabilities was stressful, my son was only happy while being held or sung to. But I always cosidered him a blessing, and nothing would ever have made me harm him in any way. People like this should rot in hell.

On Another community garden sprouts in Janesville

I think that this garden is one of the most wonderful things going on in our neighborhood, although I may be biased, as it is my children and I in the article :) I was a little worried about vandalism myself, but so far no one has bothered any of the gardens. I'm curious as well why anyone would have a reason to say anything negative about them. My kids love checking on the plants each day, and checking their progress. They are learning so much, and of course they get a little time at the park each day too. It also gives us an opportunity to meet other neighbors who are taking part in the garden. One of the people involved runs a daycare, and the kids in the daycare got to plant vegetables. Seems to me like everybody wins. Thanks to everyone who has been supportive of this project!

On Renaissance fair is first love of Janesville's Muetz family

Wow. I know that this faire isn't what Bristol is, but lets keep things in perspective!! I'm sure when the Bristol Ren Faire first started, things weren't quite as professional as they are now. But year after year, things improve. More people hear about the faire, and more people get involved. Bristol didn't happen overnight, neither will the Janesville faire. But as a huge fan of Bristol, I'm excited that someone is trying to something similar here in town. Kudos!!!

On Unclaimed property headed off to eBay

I don't think it's ridiculous at all. The fees for listing are usually a percentage of the sale. Shipping is paid by the buyer. where's the problem? Why waste space with items no one wants to claim? I do agree with glock, however...browsing through the items would be much more fun. Why not an auction or public sale??? There are several consignment stores in town also.
