ALL childhood vaccines at the Rock County Health Department are $5.00 until the age of 19-including Menactra. (and if you cannot afford the $5.00 the fee may be waived.) You may call the Rock County Health Dept. in Janesville at 608-757-5440 or the Rock County Health Dept. in Beloit at 608-364-2010 to schedule an appointment. Children 11 and up may receive Menactra.

How about trying to improve your gene pool? I love the narrowmindedness and stereotyping people cast on these blogs. It's rather pathetic. I'm surprised you have more than 3 teeth with your arrogant attitude...I think a few would've been knocked out by now! Who taught you it was right to judge a person you don't even know? I do not know him either, but I feel bad for his injuries. (Even if they could have been prevented.) So to all of you with the slick comments, get some compassion...better yet...get a life!

My 16 year old likes skateboarding and the drive from Milton to Beloit is a hike. I work in Beloit and in the summer when I drive by the skatepark there it is packed.
I love the shallow mentality of people that judge kids that skate as pot heads...yes, some do, but take a look at your local kids football, basketball, hockey teams...wake up people some of those kids smoke pot too.

"I agree with gazettefan there is no reason the driver should not be to blame also." ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? I hope you are never as unfortunate as this man and are part of an accident NOT CAUSED by you and despite you greatest efforts to avoid anyone getting hurt the other person does and you have people with nothing better to do than point fingers. Ever hit a deer? Perhaps people that have deer run in their path should be ticketed as well. How about leave the blame on the poor judgement of an intoxicated person walking on the highway at night?

Joker, I have to agree with you on this one. Racism is very much an issue in Janesville. Yes, the owner should have paid her bills bottom line. That's reason for shutting down, but the fact remains that bar was targeted by police the minute a cop on patrol drove by one night and watched a black man walk into the establishment. Wake up. Or at least admit it. Denial doesn't mean it isn't happening people. Racism is a problem in Janesville!

Copper- I was troubled by some of the kids told me about him, but tried to give this guy the benefit of the doubt because he is a "cop". I never said that the issue re. him with my children was illegal or should have been reported, but I believe it was inappropriate or maybe a better word should have been "bad judgement" on his part. Did I think he was criminal? No! But now that the allegation is out it is only natural for me to have suspicions. And you are right, I do carry a sense of responsibility (and guilt) that maybe I should have went to the school with my concerns.
Copper I see the point you are trying to make...you see it black and white: the law is the law. Guilty until proven innocent, but to some people like myself it's hard to not be bias based on previous experiences with him. And for the record, I wouldn't agree to jury duty for this case because of my bias. I agree he deserves a fair trial. I do not have issues with police. I am very grateful for what you do. If he is found guilty I hope you show as much passion defending the law as you do defending his innocence. Because to me it looks like you are just defending him because he is a cop. Would you be defending him as much if he wasn't a cop? I know I am comparing apples to oranges, but if someone is charged with killing/ injuring a cop do they get the same "innocent til proven guilty" respect from you? Or does your past experiences make you bias? You may be a cop, but you are human....aren't you?

Seriously Milton. Can we be a little bit more forward thinking? A far as I know none of the restaurants in this town serve authentic Mexican food so who cares if they are in Milton selling food from a truck? They followed the rules, got their permit, yet the higher than thou mentality in this town harasses them with a "sour reception." I remember when the town was up in arms over Hardee's coming to town...oh and don't forget the stop light...the travesty! Wait until we get that hotel they're talking about getting! Thanks for the article though. Didn't know it existed until reading this. Guess what we're having for dinner tomorrow nite?
