I cannot believe how insensitive some people are! Really! He deserved it? No one deserves to be in any situation that could take a life. What happened to the compassion people??? This is just another thing wrong with people these days. They never have anything nice or positive to say!

I dont understand all the complaining about the fees going up. My kids play sports and I pay the fees and it doesnt matter to me if they raise them. If someone doesnt have the income to pay, they offer waivers. If it werent for highschool sports than there wouldnt be college sports or professional sports for people to waste hundreds of dollara on to watch for entertainment purposes. Think about where the professional atheletes came from. Duh, they had to learn to play the sport somewhere, and become proficient at it. I agree the parking fees are ridiculous. Paying for A/P classes is also ridiculous. If a student is smarter and learns at a faster pace, than they should have A/P classes offered to them. I agree there are way too many administrators and unnecessary jobs that prob. could be cut in too. Be glad we are not in the larger cities where they pay hundreds of dollars for their kids to play in sports and they purchase their own uniforms every year!

I bought a starter kit from vapor4life. The owner is local in Illinois. They taste like crap and I can see how people quit smoking after inhaling these. There are flavors like coffee, booze, candy, chocolate, menthol, non menthol Ice cream etc. You can by the cartomizers 5-$9.99 and the inital starter kit ranges from $45-$99 depending on what you want. You can refill the cartimizers to what ever your taste is with a refillable liquid. They may be just a water vapor but in that vapor your inhaling is nicotine. They do make a no nicotine liquid and cartomizer, for those who need to do something with their hands. I went back to my cigs after I got the yucky liquid in my mouth and now Im grossed out. Not sure if I will try it again. Maybe as long as I dont try to refill the caromizers and just buy the pack of 5 for $9. I do think the FDA needs to look into these and the side affects involved. I know cigs have over 500 chemicals in them, so I imagine only getting one chemical is better then that, but truly, you have to want to really quit for it to be successful no matter what technique you use.

I am appalled at this article and the comments. If this women works for Mercy then she should know she has access to anyone in leadership and she should have brought her concerns to them. Why contact the newspaper??? Just for 5 minutes of fame! Mercy does not intentionally do something like this. There is always two sides to every story. How does anyone know if a private resident didnt just clean out their closets and use the dumpsters. You cant speculate on something when you dont have all the facts. Believe me, if there are employees throwing away good items, it would be addressed. Mercy does alot of good in this community and for people in need!

Why is it anytime a story is about something good or people helping people, someone always has to find the negative in it? I cant believe how people are always complaining on here about something. Good for these guys for wanting to reach out and help someone. Maybe those of you who are finding something to fault on here should try it and maybe a woman would be willing to iron your clothes or do something nice for you. Treat people the way you would want to be treated. What goes around comes around and instead of saying why not me or why not this, say Thank you for a change!

I get really sick and tired of people talking about Beloit being the only one who has these issues. It is all over. Janesville has just as many shootings and robberies etc. Janesville is not any better and neither are the schools. Its an epidemic and if parents would get control over their children it might help. I have 2 children and live in Beloit and work in Janesville. I raised 2 very respected educated children and never had any issues! Why? because I was involved, I new where, when and what. and I talked to my kids. I also diciplined them when needed and didnt expect the teachers to do it. A 16 yr old with a history of criminal issues? Says alot about the parents. The kid should have been sent to boot camp to straighten his butt out!

Oh, heck with all this nonsense and angry comments. Lets all just carry guns on our hips and when one of us gets ticked off we will just shoot em like the old days in the west. Then we can tell the sheriff "I was defending myself" then eventually we will just wipe out the human race, since now days most people think they are defending themselves and our world is so full of hate anyway. We wont have to worry about anything bad happening as all our problems in this world will be solved by shooting each other to death. Yep I better hurry and teach my kids how to shoot a gun so they can protect themselves when their mad at someone, and to teach them to feel safe becasue someone else will be packing so they better be packing too....Hey this is a great idea....LMAO I cant wait to see all the responses to mine now....lol

Okay, so you want to carry a gun because it is your right to protect yourself. But what I want to know, what do you consider protecting yourself from? If you get pissed off at someone or in an argument do you then think it is your right to just start shooting because you are mad. This is my only fear. Who determines when its the right time to use this gun to protect you? Are we going to go back to the wild west days when everyone was carrying and if you got ticked off you just shot them. No fair hearing or trial? What you may precieve as someone threating you may not really be the case. I think we are going to have even more problems then solutuions by telling everyone its okay to carry a gun. And all the felons, well they already have access to guns so here we go....shooting wars!
By the way, I think you have a right to own a gun but keep it locked up at home or in your trunk. I dont think you need to go into a store etc with a gun on your belt. Not to mention, a person who gets mad and sneaks up behind you, what or who is going to prevent them from snatching the gun off your belt? JMO

Who are we to judge what a family constitutes? Man and woman have been married for years and look how well that has done. The divorce rate is higher than ever. Let the gays and lesbians have a crack at it. If they can make a go of it than who am I to judge and say its wrong? We are suppose to love everyone even the same sex. What gives the government the right to say what is proper and law when it comes to relationships? Its personal preference and no matter if your for it or against it, who is it really hurting. Let them have the same rights as everyone else, pay the insurance premiums, get married pay the same tax rates and live the life they want to live. I am not gay, but I have gay friends, and relatives, and their relationships have been a heck of alot better than the herosexuals I have seen. They even are better parents than most I have seen in this world. A registry doesnt hurt anyone. So what if they are declaring their partnership, get over it america and stop being such bigots!
