I personally know where I work that your gender has no bearing on your pay. I make more than the majority of men in my dept. and I work in a field that is typically considered a man's world.

Were as I do not completely boycott Wal-mart, I only go there as a last resort. We do our grocery shopping at Woodman's and anything else we pick up at various other stores. My family (mother, father, etc, etc, etc) call Wal-mart either The Anti-Christ store or China-mart. The way that they bully corporations into lowballing what Wal-mart gets from them effects small businesses way more than people realize. My SIL worked at a Wal-mart out of state and one of the things they did there was keep most employees below full time hours so they wouldn't have to pay benefits.

How about a little compassion? These are people trying to work and give their families a better life, but yet they are being crucified for getting some assistance in caring for their children. They don't sound as if they are abusing the system as so many do. I am appalled by people who use, use, use and take, take, take from my tax dollars and do nothing to better themselves. How is quitting working and being a complete burden on the tax payers better????

On Union-friendly law won't be enforced

Just FYI this from Wisconsin Briefs, worker protection laws.
Some states have “right to work” laws, which provide workers cannot be forced to join or financially support a union in order to keep their jobs. However, in Wisconsin, private employers may enter into “union shop” agreements in which all workers must pay union dues, whether or not they formally become union members.
