On Beloit Police report three shootings this week

I have lived in Beloit my entire life and I work in Janesville. Yes Beloit, has had (3) shootings in one week. A paroled criminal is at large and the other shootings appear to be drug related or gang related. Janesville is hardly a pure community. Janesville had (3) family members killed "the Lentz's" and their killer has yet to be convicted, Michael Huber has raped victims in Janesville from 1998 to present before being arrested, and Erica Ostenson was killed by her boyfriend, yes in Janesville. Let's quit comparing notes and STEP UP as COMMUNITIES! HAVE YOU WITNESSED A CRIME AND NOT REPORTED IT? HAVE YOU ATTENDED A CITY COUNCIL MEETING TO VOICE YOUR CONCERNS FOR THE COMMUNITY YOU MAY BE RAISING YOUR CHILDREN IN? STEP UP instead of pointing fingers. It is unfortunate that both of our cities have to suffer at the hands of these criminals who are selfish, who have no integrity and no respect for themselves or the precious lives of others. It BREAKS MY HEART and I will continue to STEP UP and let my VOICE be heard at our meetings and help neighbors in crisis and pray to GOD above that we can find peace.....WHAT HAVE YOU DONE???

On Bank to close Footville branch

As a loyal customer of Mid America Bank, I fully understand the reason for closing a nonproductive office. It is my understanding that they have continued to grow and have opened loan production offices not just in Brookfield but in Madison as well. Therefore, this bank shows the stability and has my confidence of their continued success. ATM's are available at all their locations and in Footville. I am not charged for using their ATM's. I enjoy banking with Mid America for all their employee's know me and are always friendly.
