Please people tell everyone if you are having ANY symptoms that could be cardiac related DO NOT go to ST Marys! This is not a dig at them but they do not have the facilities available to treat you. Many people don't realize that something as simple as your jaw aching could be a sign of a heart attack. Do Not drive yourself either CALL 911. The paramedics can get the ball rolling if you are having a heart attack. Every minute saved is in your favor. If you have any doubts DO NOT second guess it! It could be your life or someone you loves life that is saved!

Mercy is busy thanks to the fact that St mary's is "cherry picking" seems if you have no insurance or a complicated case they are transfering you to Mercy so they don't get stuck with the bill and it makes there numbers look better.
I also heard they built that hospital and forgot to build a morgue. Have seen Dean docs in action so why they would have not built a morgue is way out there!

It's great that the kids have some where to go. What are their alternatives? Atleast they are not stealing or out doing drugs.

How can you blame Walker for this? The problem is with Hostess filing bankruptcy not with Walker! Please people stop feeling sorry for yourselves. It really is time that people took responsibility for themselves and stopped blaming everyone else. You are all expecting one or two people to save this economy when we are all to blame. When was the last time you bought an American made product? When was there a product that every part to it is American made? This is where the problems are.

Sounds like a clear cut case for a discrimination suit and we as tax payers will end up footing the bill yet again because of the decsions made by a few. While I support local businesses I think we need to be fair with all of them.

I am a long time Mercy employee. I have worked in several capacities and have worked with both Mercy and Dean doctors. I am sorry that some of you feel the way you do about Mercy. I have had experinces that should not have been. However I have also seen how when someone brings these situations to the attention of customer relations how they are addressed and in a timely manner. Just like any where you will have your "bad apples" Mercy truly trys to weed these out. The patient truly is the driving force behind what we do. I go to work everyday and put my patient and their comfort first. Yes there are people that we encounter who we will never make happy however we still strive to make their experience the best one possible. We have a very dedicated staff. People take call, work extra shifts and do whatever we can to put our patient's first. Doing so can mean taking time away from our own families and lives. We realize that this is what we chose to do and the reasons why we chose this is to take care of people. The majority of health care workers do this job because they care.

Be informed! This could be a life and death situation where minutes, even seconds count! The new ST, Mary's facility does not have the equipment to treat STEMIs. Most people in this situation do not have the time to wait to be Medflighted to Madison! When time is of the essence you need to be in the right facility!
Don't wait until you need the service to find out if it is available to you. Please just be informed. It could mean the difference between life and death!

Really, why was this news. Just because of the offices that he has held in the city he is also a private citizen and in no way should this have been front page news. Wake up people let the firt perfect person cast the first stone. Waiting, waiting,....still waiting for that perfect person. Just what I thought there aren't any here. Enough said!

I obey the law so it isn't the fine that I was concerned with. The person getting bit should be the one that is compensated not the police department. If you are in an accident or have property damage and the person is fined for no insurance the person who's car was messed up is the one who does without. The city gets the fine money and the offender gets away with paying the fine and then they are on their way. Seems messed up to me when it is the victim who suffers.
