emac, you're no better than anyone else. Stop pretending. Be a big boy (or girl, or whatever you claim to be) and let the discussions go where they go.
"PopCon will consist of short reviews of music, film, books, TV, video games and other distractions."
Hmm, looks like we need a News flash for emac: You're not in charge!

It sounds to me like the idea is to discuss all things within pop culture. If you don't want to read discussions about television or video games, it's easy to do so. Same goes for if you don't want to read discussions about books or films. Like many things in life, it's up to you to read (or not read) whatever you like.
I, for one, am interested in discussions on video games. It's a whole different technological landscape than it was 20 or even 10 years ago.
On Janesville proposes new containers for garbage pickup

Maybe they should concentrate on picking up ALL of the garbage on collection days. Every Wednesday on my side of town there is loose trash that didn't get collected blowing everywhere. Fix that problem first, then worry about changing everything.

Ten hardest things to do in sports: http://www.usatoday.com/sports/ten-harde...
That's just one search return. Do a Google search of "Hardest thing to do in sports." See for yourself. You, my friend, are the "small primitive minded clown."

Nah, Frogger wasn't in a coma. Just sounds like one of those people who can't see past their front door. I love ignoramuses.

@cruiser: Some people, like myself, don't carry cash because it requires a trip to an ATM, preferably at my bank where I won't incur a $3-$5 fee. Considering I live blocks away from the neighborhood gas station and a few miles from the closest branch of my bank, you do the math. Debit cards are quick, easy and portable. Buying "small" items, as you say, has nothing to do with having cash. Dolt.

Fortunately, I'm not overly paranoid like MBHammer. I use debit all the time and if there are people in line behind me, I think they can wait the extra 10 seconds it takes me to enter my pin and approve the transaction. Realistically, it's quicker that way compared to a clerk doling out 92 cents of change.

On Great Expectations

Nice comment, sarahmarden. Are you too busy worrying about third world problems to go have a good time? Pretentious much?
Anyways, if you're going to go for a nice meal in a place like Chicago, you should certainly expect a little bit more. I've been in that situation before, and it isn't any fun.
As far as the train goes, it is by far the best way to get to Chicago. Between the cost of gas, tolls, and parking, it's a ton cheaper. I took my 9-year-old on it last summer, and he loved it. We'll be making quite a few return trips this summer.
