Seems like the 'nicer, kinder' world after the Tucson incident is pretty much over.

If I didn't show up to work for several days 'protesting', I doubt I would have my job waiting for me. Someone else in that long line of unemployed folks would have been glad to have it.

I'm not so sure the tazzer should have been used on the dog. Maybe using it on the DPW employee or MPD might have sharpened their decision making skills. Poor choices, poor decisions, poor outcome. Re-training should be minimum for all concerned.

To RUSerious. Face it, these nimrods jumped to conclusions and decided to let the other nimrod in the city vehicle run over the injured dog. Make all the excuses for the people who made such very bad choices. This dog was not running around attacking anyone. It was attacked. Any pet that is injured and bloody in Milton, well it's not looking good for you. Open season.

Shame, shame, shame on Milton PD. I am a resident of Milton. I hang my head and am ashamed for you. You killed that dog. Maybe it was bloody because it was already run over by a MPD or DPW car. This was not your finest hour. It was unnecessary and you know it.

On Two shot with BB gun at Whitewater party

My neighbor's weapon of choice is a pellet gun, not a BB gun. My house is approx 300 ft from his deck where he shoots from. Luckily the pellet richocheted off the house (I have the mark in the siding) and then hit my leg. And even then a nice bruise and bump. My house has holes in it from the pellets. I have a broken window with the pellet found between the panes. When exactly does all the 'fun' stuff start? we never 'played' shoot each other with BB guns when I was a kid. We were not allowed to purposely damage neighbors property. If I even thought about putting bird feeders out to lure them closer so I could kill them I would have had my behind tanned. When did we turn that corner and it's okeedokee to act that way?

I understand about avoiding confrontations. I just find it hard to believe that this couldn't have been handled the 1st time by a knock on the door from the police asking the culprit to be careful and that neighbors had registered a complaint about being injured and that there was damage to property. Please cease and desist. Am I wrong?

Police advised us that they couldn't approach without themselves observing. When we said we would go to neighbor and talk to him, police advised us not to. Sounds fishy huh? Did to us too. Whole thing stinks as far as I am concerned.

All good suggestions! I hope to capture the culprit on video this spring. Maybe then something can be done to stop the idiot from shooting up the neighborhood. I know it is hard to believe that warning him would be considered 'harrassment'. You just can't fix stupid sometimes.

In addition, I forgot to mention that the 1st time I was hit in the leg with a pellet. It bounced off the house first and struck my leg and I showed the officer the pellet and the bump/bruise it caused. It hit the house about 2 inches above my head. Could have been my eye if I had stood up at that point.
