On Camp Rotamer ready to host open house

The other property owner had every right tell others to leave. I know people who live next to camps and they had issues with people coming on to their property, vandalizing their buildings and drinking. This owner was just protecting his land- it is miserable to have to clean up after vandalism.
On another note- I am very glad that this place is back. I remember going there as a child and I look forward to when my kids could someday have that memory too. With as much as janesville is changing it is great to have some things stay.

On Rock Aqua Jays see success as Fourth of July event sponsor

I think for it being the first time that the aqua jays took on this much responsibility that they did a good job. The Jaycees had done this for several years and they were able to do things differently. I have taken over several non profit events in the past and they are A LOT to plan. Trying to pull money out of the air and have enough people to help takes a lot of effort.
Events develop and change as different people take over and to have it be perfect it takes time. Great job by the volunteers and thanks to all who supported. If you did not attempt to contribute to the event you do not get to complain. I do not believe that anyone was forced to go to the fireworks- if you did not like it then you should not go. Don't take the fun away from others- next year no matter who hosts it or where it is held please stay home and watch tv.
