On Wis. GOP blasts plans for recall work near malls

When I'm out in public I do not want to see this. If I want to sign the petition I will seek out the PROPER places to do just that. I would consider proper places to be Union Halls, Recall Walker offices, and my home only if I call someone to come there if I am not able to travel to said PROPER facility.
On City planning to replace Jackson Street bridge

I will start this post by saying that I totally agree that this bridge does need to be replaced. However, the last sentence of this story is classic. ("Although he’s happy progress is being made, McCoy said he wishes construction could start now “to put people back to work.”) This is exactly what was wrong with this stimulus bill, it doesn't give businesses the ability to create sustainable jobs. Building roads, schools, and bridges, this is only temporary work. Once new roads, schools and bridges are built people are laid off again. This is typical democratic party talk. I know I will get grilled for saying its democratic party talk, so I will say that I know this stimulus bill was signed by Bush, and I didn't agree with it then!!

NV, where did anyone mention anything about the deficit? You can't add a national sales tax to products and services and expect consumer spending to grow. This in turn will lead to more layoffs and an even higher unemployment rate.

Yeah, and now there is talk about a national Sales Tax. Yeah, we won't raise your taxes usually means we won't raise your income taxes, but we'll create a bunch of new ones. Typical rhetoric from the Democratic party.

NV, I'm not whining. I said there are good things in the bill, but the government can't make us buy anything. The countries in Europe and the rest of the world do not have a Constitution like ours that limits the powers of the government.

I do have to say that there are a few very good things in this bill. Like limits on premium increases, restricting insurance companies from dropping people when they get sick, and allowing people to get insurance when they have pre-existing conditions. My biggest problem in this bill is the individual mandate. It is completely unconstitutional for our government to tell us that we have to buy ANY product or service. This is just like telling every American that he/she has to buy a new car from Ford, GM, or Chrysler. This is where this bill will fail. IMO.

displaced worker, I would have to ask which field you studied? There are some fields that are already over-crowded, you need to do your research to find out which fields have good hiring potential before you choose an area to study.
