On Friday's episode of 'Supernanny' to feature Evansville family

Why does anyone care why this family chose this or not. Yes everyone is entitled to their own opinion and if this family wants to air their dirty laundry on tv that is their right. Who are we to judge or critisize them for it.
No one really knows anything about this but the ones involved and who cares if they were compensated.
Maybe everyone is jealous they didnt think of it.
Their are more important things to worry about in life then this small stuff.
We should worry about our own families and our own issues instead of complaining what others choose to do.
As far as books or manuals...yes there are many out there, but dont believe everything you read. Until you have raised the perfect family you can only give suggestions, everyone has to experience it themselves and no one family or child is alike.
I am a parent and my two children were completly different and no book was going to give me instructions on the correct way to raise them. It was a learning process. You try one way and if it didnt work you tried another and hope and pray they turn out okay.
The key was to keep trying. This family is trying.
On Janesville JCPenney to stay open

First, There is an email circulating around telling people not to but certain gift cards because a list of stores are closing in 2009.
Bottom line dont believe everything you read until it happens or you have proof.
Second has anyone been to a Buffalo Wild Wings? I have and it is nothing like Damons. It is a sports Bar/Resturant that has many varieties of chicken wings/sauces, sandwiches and a few other burgers. It is well known for all of its large screen tv's and the variety of sports aired on them.
I welcome the new Resturant/Bar. Better then Hooters where girls are shown off.
Not to mention I will probbly still go to Damons.
Even in this economy the resurant industry like the travel industry is still very much alive and booming.
Competion makes them grow.

Why is it just GM who gets the benefits and tickets??? What about all the other companies who are laying off their workers or closing? Hello...GM is not the only company in this area!
On Police investigate political confrontation

Everyone has a right to their beliefs and free speech! We do not have a right to be violent or inflict injury to another person! If you dont want someone on your property call the police, dont result to violence. There is enough hatered and anger in the world. When will we see that violence is not the answer to solving disputes? What are we teaching our children? Its not okay to pull someones hair or touch them in anyway to cause physical harm. That is what this is about!
On Local men step up the fight against domestic violence

One final note there is a vigil in Beloit tonight for domestic abuse at 5:30. Also, I was a lucky one who got away after many attempts. Many people are not so lucky and dont have the family, friends or resouces. If it werent for my neighbors calling the police when they heard the screams and one good friend who let me live there for 6 months I wouldnt be alive today and who knows where my children would have been. Before people comment on this please think twice and be a supporter, there is enough negitivity in the world. We dont need more.

Walking in her shoes is not about reducing domestic violence. Its about awareness. I am a survior of domestic abuse. I left my ex husband with two children and $20 in my pocket. I went into hiding for 6 months filed a restraining order and many court appearings before I could even file for divorce. Back then our legal system didnt accknowledge abuse for grounds of divorce. And if you have children they still get visitaiton rights. 15 years later I just gained sole custody and sole placement of my son who was also a victim of abuse from his father. Even after I was left for dead he still had the rights. If a man walks in womens high heels it is hopefully painful for them. Their feet should hurt. Yes it doesnt come close to the pain and suffering me and my children went through (no one will ever know that pain unless you have been abused)but it is a start. Our community needs to come together and make sure women, men and children who are victims of domestic abouse know what resources are out there.
On Permitting underage children to drink at home is a question of parenting, not the law
Posted on July 3 at 1:32 p.m. ( Suggest removal )
Okay
So my kid who has graduated HIgh school is not allowed to have a drink unless I say it is okay to be done at home, but he or she is old enough at 18 to make the decision to join the forces and fight for our country and even die for our country?
Something is really wrong with our society. Parents need to be parents and teach out kids how to be responsible adults. And the goverment needs to stay out of our parenting lives. There are far more greater things to worry about.
Children were far better off when I was a kid than now days. The first time a child is spanked (Not abused) but spanked they go to school and tell someone guess who gets called family services, yet let a child have a drink at home and family services are not notified.
Tell them they can vote at 18 but cant have a drink.
Leave the parenting up to the parents. I rarely have a drink of anything and I was allowed to drink at home. My children are not big drinkers and they were allowed to drink at home. We taught them right and wrong.
If you tell your kids no, and they want to experiment they will do it else where. So I would rather have the control and teach them my beliefs so then I wont have to worry what they are doing somewhere else, or who they are going to hurt!
And If my daughter has the right to fight for our country in the Marines then she has the right to drink!
On Plant closing in Albany; 80 jobs lost

Goes to show who is paying off our goverment! GM obviously is a large Doyle supporter so they will get the states help, yet any other company who lays off their workers they could give a rats ***. Our goverment is so full of its self. People are losing jobs everywhere and no one seems to care about the american worker in reality! Jobs are being sent oversees or closing and our economy is suffering, and yet if you give large amounts to Doyle and making the politicians pockets fuller then they will respond by offering extra unemployment benefits and grants such as the GM workers, but if you are anyone else other then GM you dont get crap. How sad!
On Gas cost inches toward record

Gas in Beloit was $3.43 today. Gas keeps going up but our pay doesnt. No cost of living raises either. You have to work to live yet you can hardly afford to go to work with the cost of gas and groceries. Gee do you think we can all get Public Aid, since it is so big on helping those in need.....
