On Dog euthanized after police pursuit in Milton

Posted on September 25 at 5:24 p.m. ( Suggest removal )

What a loss for the family, and very unnecessary! RCHS is not far away, and should have been involved from the first sighting of the dog. Sounds from the article that too many attempts were made by the police to handle this themselves before a contact to the humane society was made- they are the experts trained to handle this kind of situation.

I feel honored to have the privilege to work with Vikee Loudon. She is amazing, and I'm so glad she can be recognized in this way! Her passion for always putting children first is contagious, and her efforts are tireless.
...
Congratulations Vikee... while we all know that you NEVER seek recognition for all you do. Now it's time to applaud you, you are a hero to so many! Keep it up, you always contribute to OUR "buckets" and help us remember that each child and family we work with deserves all we can give them!

Sam15, I hope things work out for you and you and ALL of your coworkers find work quickly... a handful of days for the employees, while Mr. O'Leary knew of the of this coming for over a year, it is disgusting.
-
I hope the Gazette will follow up quickly with the whole story about how this was such a fast slap in the face for ALL of the employees, although through the blog, we're getting the idea. I would love to hear a quote from Mr. O'Leary about how he feels about leaving this group of employees- so many who have worked for the dealership for a long time, and worked so well TOGETHER- high and dry. What a sour note to leave what was a great business.

My understanding is that this resurfacing is a "bandaid" for now, but the DOT just completed a 5 year study on the stretch, which will eventually lead to recommendations for a much larger scale project. (see http://www.dot.wi.gov/projects/d1/wis11s...)

What a waste, that Ted Thompson is going to just throw him away like this.
