publicvoice.... maybe for the simple fact that the former chairman has more at stake for his retirement; unlike Sheridan whom has his two pensions to collect. Some look at everyday issues plain and simple as they are.... not through the crystal ball as Sheridan does. The upcoming election should be grand as we drive through the streets of Janesville and don't see many sheridan signs... But blame where it is due... not on those that have moved on to finish their careers

Chances are anything coming here are next to nill. But iin reference to "John Wayne" and supposedly Dohner giving the farm away.... if you have any knowledge- the workforce VOTED on the contract and anyhow it never went into effect as the plant closed!! "my 3 kids" as far as sheridan and dohner activities in the last year.... dohner took a transfer like ANYONE else to get his time, Sheridan is apparently only around now that the election is near. Get over the name bashin folks, you are just showing how ingnorant and jealous you truly are. Life has gone on for many of these employees, now it's just simply the game that happens when this stuff hits the media.

Big Roadie, you talk to Tom; let's see if he discloses personal info. Like I said before that home was made posssible by 22yrs of marriage and BOTH of US work HARD. That's right, I said BOTH of US. I guess you're not much of a friend if we had you at our home and then you bash us like you did. But I have told JD all along that many "appear" to be friends, but truly aren't. Anyway, I do hope you and your family has a nice holiday, I will be the bigger person and say that.

Big Roadie, better get your facts straight before you are blatting off about someone's yearly wage that you have absoulutely no knowledge of!!! As far as the Dohner place being something that people dream of, many other GM employees had bigger and better. The Dohner home was their fifth home in 22yrs. Let's get past all the bs people, if you have no interest in the story move on, I think there is snow to shovel, or maybe you all have so much time that you hire it done. boo hoo

molly40 etc.... are you in these shoes???? We had MANY family conversations to come up with what was right for our family. And for the next five years this is it. My kid's have known since day one what their Dad has done for a living, he has been to all the band concerts, swim meets, ball games etc. Now our oldest has graduated; but lives at home(hard to find a job nowadays to make it on your own) the middle son is a high school senior with just months left before graduating and our youngest is a spohmore. You say my kid's are spoiled?? I think not, all have bought their own vehicles, if they can't pay cash they have the payment books to show THEY make their own payments. They have supported their Dad's decision and opportunity to go to Fort Wayne for five years, they can join him at any time if they so wish. It's easy for one not in this position to sit back and say "how selfish are these people, family's should stay together" but until YOU are ever in the position to be making the choices, I'd kindly watch what you say. These decisions WERE not easy, and when things happen in everyday life; you just take it as it comes. In our home we are in this together, and that in why you WON"T see my divorce in the paper. Our home has been built on 22yrs of thick and thin, and five years of an altered schedule won't ruin that. That is what a TRUE family is in my book.My best wishes to all involved in this and and very happy holiday season.

pcmagic1, I NEVER once 'whined" or complained about my life on OUR 13 acre farm. We got that farm from WORKING HARD and SAVING our paychecks, also from working towards this goal for 22yrs. So may I suggest, before I lose my dignity; SHUT up. If you've never been to my house- which I would never invite you; keep your selfish, self pitied remarks to yourself. As a previous post stated, the Gazette reached out to these family's for their stories; we weren't seeking the "lime-light". I appreciate all the support my family has gotten from family and friends through this transition. We will make it, and there is NO whinning at my house; as that is the type of children we are raising. Don't put yourself in someone elses shoes that you have no clue about what they are truly dealing with. It's tough and on top of it all, I lost my mom two weeks ago; and then to read ingnorant posts like yours. Sad to say, but I had a feeling this would come out of this article. Merry Christmas to the "understanding citizens" that are in our community.

Someone needs to put a stop to all this foolish spending in Edgerton. The people aren't asking for a dog... it's an on-going pipe dream of the chief!!! No to another dog!!
