Every city around us has already cancelled school for Wednesday, yet here we sit again wondering if our children will have to go to school !
Only one day set aside for bad weather in the snow-belt region !
It's time we get someone with a heart and a little compassion into our school board, not to mention common sense !

Why is everyone so down on the players, let's put the blame where it needs to be.
The owners knew, the GM's knew and the U.S. Government knew about the steroid issues.
When MLB had the big strike a few years ago, many people lost interest in baseball.
So what better way to bring the fans back than to have a "Homer Attack" from Big Mac and Slammin' Sammy ?

Maybe our own Janesville Police Department can help out with this issue.
After all, they babysit almost every night of the week at the bars on Main Street waiting for the fights to break out !
Or maybe some of the bars with habitual offences should just plain be closed like the old Blarney Stone Tavern was ?
Closing some of the more troubled bars should also help with the under aged drinking that happens on a daily basis.

My father, who is 76 years young has mentioned that he may quit his subscription to the paper because it is too hard to read anymore.
Could you make the type a little larger so folks in the advanced stages of life could read the paper without using a magnifying glass ?

On Trash collection canceled in Janesville

So does this mean that our children are less important than the trash ?
The trash collection service gets a timely cancellation, yet our children go to bed not knowing if they will have to endure heavy snow, ice/sleet, arctic cold and wind on the way to school tomorrow !
