Using tax dollars to support education is completely different than supporting someone on public assistance. By subsidizing student loans, you are encouraging people to be self sufficient. People with college degrees on average, also earn more than people with high school degrees. Meaning these people will eventually pay higher taxes and generate more revenue for the government. Supporting people on WIC, is just encouraging bad behavior. I have no problem supporting programs that encourage people to be independent and productive members of society.
