On Obama's associations keep character suspect

Posted on October 31 at 10:39 a.m. ( Suggest removal )

Is it true that if Obama was applying for a secret service job to protect the president or CIA or the NSA that he would be denied a security clearance based on his past associations? If thats true he has lost my vote and its going to McCain!

On Wisconsin should join Minnesota and ban all workplace smoking

Posted on October 31 at 10:35 a.m. ( Suggest removal )

I am a conservative and do not agree with Diamond Jim very often but I do on this one. Ban all smoking except in your home. Smokers do NOT have rights under the constitution unless you catagorize it under the right to pursue happiness. Smokers are in the minority now and will have to except the will of the majority. I am an exsmoker also... surprised?

Good... maybe I can get my radar detector back! Fat Chance huh? I am sure I saw a slight smirk on the face of the police when they came over to investigate when it was stolen...With the economy taking a turn for the worse I am sure this sort of crime will increase. It always does. Good work PD!

On County approves fairgrounds tower

Good! Maybe I can get a decent signal and call in and cancel my Charter account!

On As the city of Janesville considers a 100-foot cell tower at the Rock County 4-H fairgrounds, do you approve of the proposal?

Posted on June 26 at 11:09 a.m. ( Suggest removal )

You don't build cell towers on hills or high elevations. They are designed to blanket an area and the height of the tower is enough to do that. The actual range in a city is a few miles at best. At 100 feet the effective line of sight is at least twenty miles. So, you don't build them on a hill but where it is needed. Suggesting GM sounds a bit spitefull!

Stay in town this weekend and attend AirFest at the airport. www.swairfest.org Great entertainment with the Canadian Snowbird and others. The weather looks great and it won't cost much gas!

On View video of the roundabout constructed near the new Menard's store at Highway 26 and I-90 on Janes

Great Idea! Glad to see it.... But..what do I do when I see some kid coming at me at an entrance while I am going round and she has a cell phone planted in her ear? Round-a-bouts are safe but you have to pay strict attention while you are in them and while entering/exiting them or you will end up in an old fashioned accident.... just like stop signs!

On Have you noticed rising prices when you are grocery shopping?

Posted on May 18 at 11:33 a.m. ( Suggest removal )

To Foxyroush... Food prices go up when gas prices go up because the cost of getting the product (food) from field to market (your mouth)goes up. I pay $4.39 for diesel fuel now and a year ago I paid $2.75. This has to be factored in. Please, Please learn some basic economics. When market prices are determined the economic status of the consumer is NOT considered. Supply and demand does, along with taxes, expense of production and government regulations. The more you know the less vulnerable you are.
