An important thing to consider now is that trees are living, and dying, things that need to be nurtured. When necessary they need to be replaced. Given current economic conditions a small dontation toward replacements would be an excellent way to keep our "City of Parks" beautiful. The Parks or J-STAC will put a small donation to good use repopulating these flood damaged areas.

Marcia, don't forget to look for the native spring flowers at Palmer and Parker parks: kitten toes, pasque flowers and scilla! All beautiful harbingers of spring time!

That is truly an amazing eulogy for an individual that has added so much to our community for such a long time. Chris and LP do an excellent job of removals as well as being involved in J-STAC, a group that replants trees to take the place of the inevitable losses we see in such great individuals at this. Keep planting more so that we can continue to find 200 year old trees that grace the community and add so much interest and environmental benefits.

I think it's a great thing a sign of the times that the Odd Fellows can support such a great endeavor. The community celebration of our nation's indenpendence is certainly a worthy cause and the Odd Fellows have been a long standing contributor to our community. Good luck with your new endeavor.
