Anyone who spends that kind of money on costumes are crazy! Buy them after Halloween when they go on clearance and save them!

I went into Halloween Express once and will not be returning. I had my 4 yr old son with me and the music playing in the store was NOT appropriate. It had profanity! When I mentioned it to the manager before leaving she was like "Oh" Not cool!

We normally go on Friday nights when it's $20 a carload. Last year we son was super excited to see the Hot Air Balloon show and when the show ended they didn't do it..without announcing why or anything! I later figured out because it was a bit windy, but to NOT tell anyone?

This year we went to the Rockford Air Show. Paid $45 for 5 people..they were giving out free Pepsi Max samples, even a can to each person when they left, had a sprinkler for the kids, free water from Culligan, a childrens discovery play tent & more!

My 4 yr old son had a GREAT time...so did my husband & I. Except of course for the time two ladies stood behind us while a political float was going by and they chanted "Shame, Shame, Shame" over & over again.

Aren't people at the library volunteers?

Anyways..I use them for quick trips. Half the time they are more hassle than they are worth. But at places like Woodmans and Walmart they do have employees who oversee the self check-out lanes. I do not feel bad at all and I do not think they are taking peoples jobs. If so maybe stores don't have to raise their prices so much if they have a few less employees to pay.

I DOUBT they are throwing stuff away. I Donate and Buy stuff there. Their prices are the lowest Ive seen. I LOVE that its run by volunteers too! Ive seen the backroom and its packed full of things. Ive personally seen stuff that I have donated out in their shop. I will continue to go to there. I agree...why go to the paper?
