On Immigration officials arrest 11

Happycamper: With over 6.5% unemployment,I'm not sure that some Americans without jobs might not take those dirty-nasty jobs You refered to. If those jobs can not be filled, that is what the H-1B Visa program is all about. Those are people who can obtain Visas and enter our Country as a Legal person, not sneak over the Border and make anchor babies.

Super Dave; I agree with most of Your comments, but please consider all of the FAKE drivers licenses and S.S. cards these people use. The only way is to Have Employer's be enrolled in the E-Verify program to see if they are legal to work here. My wife used to work in Payroll at a large construction Co. One day she received a call and the person stated he wanted to give her his S.S.#, she said I have Your S.S.#, He said "I want to give You my REAL number. Go Figure.

We have waited long enough for our immigration laws to be enforced. Congress has failed to vote on extending the E-verify policy needed to keep illegal immigrants from taking jobs that belong to American citizens. Mean while Obama & McCain meet to discuss how to give ammensty to over 10-12 million illegals. Time to call or write Your Congressman today. Better yet visit: http://www.numbersusa.com/content/

On Auto bailout backers offer to cut $25 billion size

I would hope that Congress will impose stiff salary and Hourly rate cuts on all employees until the total loan would be paid back. Those cuts alone would let them become more profitable over the next few years. The salaries could then be adjusted upward after the payback to the Goverment. I guess the bigger question is; Why not buy the whole company of G.M.? It is only worth 1.8 billion today and they want a bigger share of the 25 billion loan.

Godfather: Not everybody waits until they have been arrested over 16 times before they figure out it may be wrong. He spent time in a Lake Tomahawk correction unit and that did not help. I suppose he can not be deported??

It's to bad that he was ever able to get a drivers license with the long list of arrests in the past. Oh, thats right You do not need a license to get into a vehicle and drive somewhere. Good thing he hit the pole and not someone walking nearby.
