Tosser: Be fair.
Judging by the direction of the shadows cast in the Janesville Farmer's Market photo, that picture was taken well after noon. The JFM closes at 1pm.
What time of day was the Beloit Market picture taken?

I used to work for a Wisconsin broadcaster named James Schuh. His wife taught physical education... so, yes, she was Mrs. Jim Schuh (gym shoe).

"I prefer analog books." Bah-ha-ha!
'
I have no desire to have or use an e-reader, although I can't articulate exactly why.
I also used to prefer writing and receiving letters on actual paper rather than e-mail, but somehow ended up using e-mail exclusively to send greetings.
So, I suppose someday I'll come around to the e-reader lifestyle. For now, I just like the feel of a real book.

In Milton, we try to convince visitors to come around mid-August for the MACCIT Chicken BBQ/Milton House Craft Fair. Otherwise, we make sure they enjoy the Milton House, Northleaf Winery, and Georgio's Restaurant.

Gee, the only warning I ever got as a kid was that my face would freeze this way.

There was that one day, however, the importance of wearing a bike helmet was proven to my youngest son and me.
We were on a nice ride when he suddenly jumped off his bike and pointed out to me that he'd forgotten his helmet. As we stood there talking about it, his bike fell over on the sidewalk... handlebars still in his hands.
Just like that, the handlebars fell off his bike. Imagine if he'd been riding his bike when it happened.
If concern over his missing helmet hadn't stopped him, he'd have been *on* the bike when it fell apart.
Pretty wild, huh?

I wondered if, with 10 children, the family took two cars to the restaurant. If so, each driver might have thought the child was with the other vehicle.
.
Still, who doesn't do a head count before going to bed? Or, at the breakfast table the next morning? Or, after the older kids go to school?
.
I would like to hear the parents' side of this story.

With the current political climate in Wisconsin, I think headlines regarding the passing of beloved community leaders should not include the word "recalled".
I know it's supposed to mean the deceased is remembered fondly, but it sounds as if they've instead been removed from office.
