On Some find results working out at home

Posted on January 9 at 3:52 p.m. ( Suggest removal )

Love the story - I started P90X on February 12, 2011 at 288 pounds and have lost 96 pounds all in my basement. My health has totally been restored and I have even been cured from my High Blood Pressure. Now I am a Beachbody Coach helping others transform their lives too. - Thanks again for the story.

On Illinois company relocating to Wisconsin

Posted on March 18 at 11:29 a.m. ( Suggest removal )

Aside from the arguments I see here on how many employees will actually live in Wisconsin, there are other benefits besides taxes that come to the state and community by having the business operate in Wisconsin. Two that I can identify easily are power and water consumption that will benefit the local utilities and help control the costs of those services for the local area. When GM left Janesville our power rates and especially water rates had to be adjusted up and this brought further harm to the community. They will also begin switching to other more local vendors for items like office supplies, vending and maybe even outsourcing part of their operations to smaller local companies.

Been there and done that in the past myself when needing to slash the budget Steve. We started getting free videos from the library and that filled a void.

The older we get - it seems, the faster the days go by. At 51, I think I am the busiest in my life and most productive too. Our life is "as a vapor" and we need to make the most of each day as we seek to live life with a purpose. :-)

On Would you post that if you were you?

I have always used my real name because I want to make sure what I am writing is a comment that I would be able to say face to face to others. I think others would indeed be more respectful if they were required to use their real names. There are unfortunately dangers in our society that may cause people to fear using their real names and I do not judge those that choose to be anonymous for those reasons. A very good question and blog Steve.

On Walker renews call for dismantling county government

Posted on July 20 at 11:38 p.m. ( Suggest removal )

The motive on this idea is good but I don't like yielding local control of services to the state. A better idea would be to have county-wide government and eliminate the duplicate government services among the many cities and towns within a county.
A great example of how this works is Jefferson County Kentucky which merged the governments of Louisville, KY and dozens of smaller cities within the county to form one governmental entity that was able to be much more economical in the use of resources throughout the county.

Than you Stacy Vogel for getting this part of the story out there. My only complaint is that you did not try harder to contact Billy before going to print with the initial story but perhaps you just had too tight of a deadline. I wonder if the rush to publish a story at times should be weighed more against the initial damage to a person's reputation caused by them not having an opportunity to respond in a timely manner. Thanks again for the continuing reporting and telling the other side.

As a neighbor of Dave and his family I can report that what you see really is what you get. Not only is Dave a man of humility and integrity, but his family is equally impressive. All of this is a true testimony to his character. Congratulations Dave!
