Sorry folks...where is this written in a humorous tone, in either the headline or article? Am I missing something?

What am I missing here...where does it say anything about drinking? BartSimpson, were you there? Why do we always jump to conclusions on these comments. It's annoying.

There should be a formula established to allow part of the funds to remain in reserve to cover years of shortfalls; the remainder should be used to offset the health care portion of the teachers payroll package for the following contract (ie: a health premium adjustment).

tjncj has a valid point. Flashing yellow does not mean STOP. Is there a reason why a walker/biker activated stop light can't be placed there--the light remains green until the walk button is activated, which then goes from yellow to red, just like other stop lights? If there was a light there and another one at Wuthering Hills drive, both would serve to slow traffic. Both have to be less expensive than a tunnel and round about; either of those options could be done later if these less expensive options don't work. Something does need to be done--the status quo is not an option.

If Clear Lake is closed, why is there a slow/no wake order? There should be no boats, and thus no wake.

The loyalty of Schuler's employees is amazing. I find it hard to believe that most workers would put up with bounced payroll or holding payroll checks until they were good for very long. And if any employer is messing with an employee's money...whether it be 401k, child support or payroll...those are huge warning signs.

What makes it a story is that the IRS closed them down. Has the IRS closed that other business?

Until we can properly fund for ongoing park/greenbelt maintenance, put a hold on non-riverfront park expansion. There isn't enough funding for mowing and weed control as it is, and a priority should be given to Riverside Park upgrades, before adding more land for the sake of more acreage.

"he" should be "the"
and "opinionsforfree", since you are so quick to be picky, it's "personnel" not "personal", which is correct in the article.

Most times that I've seen this show, the kids were the way they were because of the parent's ineffectiveness. Jo shows ways for us all to become better parents--sometimes very simple things to create better communication and atmosphere. Oftentimes, it is difficult to see such dysfunctional families, but they are more the norm these days, and any positive assistance is helpful--even if it's in the name of entertainment.
