Ft. Wayne- The Pontiac(Stamping plant) is not the same plant as the Pontiac assembly center that builds the Pickup trucks. Sorry to break your heart but Janesville is one of the 3 in the running to build the new car. We heard that from a video by Fritz Henderson the day of the filing at my plant in Wentzville and I would say thats the best source out there..... I would also like to add that the Pontiac(stamping plant) only does stamping so obviously they cant build a car. So yes it is between 1)Orion 2)Janesville 3)Spring Hills.

I work at the Wentzville, MO plant and we watched the speech by ceo Fritz Henderson and he named Orion, Spring Hills, and he took Janesville off closed status and put it in standby status. He said one of those 3 Plants will build the new car. Thats straight from the mouth of our CEO. Good Luck Janesville.

JCK/jvldss: Thanks for the Lombardi stats but I could have googled them too. That doesnt prove that your a lifelong Packer fan, just that you can do a Lombardi google search. I'm sure the Packers were popular back in the 60's, they were winning championships but everyone got off the bandwagon during the next 30 years till Favre showed up, then everyone hopped back on the wagon. Go ahead and argue my opinion but I've lived here long enough to know thats true for 90% of Packers fans.
