I used to work at the Moose and loved Friday nights because it was polka night. I was amazed at some of the older folks who barely could walk in the door but once they put on their dancing shoes, they sure went to town. Thanks for sharing!

The Moose Lodge had dancing every Friday night but you have to be a member I believe. If your up for traveling, on Tuesday nights there is polka at The Bake House in Hebron, Il. You may want to call and make sure its still Tuesdays.

I think its a smart idea. Why promote drunk driving? They serve alcohol but then expect everyone to leave. Mind you this wont stop drunk driving, but I am sure it might save a life. There will be police and security everywhere. Any issues will be taken care of. Have some fun!!

A simple hi, how are you can save a life. Even if its to a stranger. A few years back, a man was contemplating suicide. As he was walking to where he was planning on taking his life, a complete stranger, who happened to be walking the same path, said to him "hey, how is it going today?" A few minutes after a small chat, he had completed changed his mind, and ended up asking for help.
