On Edgerton hospital to have fewer beds

The reason they are scaling back is because they do not have enough money to build a bigger building, not because they have planned it this way due to a decrease in the need for inpatient beds.

The public should know that the care center and home health did not separate from the hospital voluntarily. The hospital wanted to do this so that they had a better chance to get funding. So now, they've just lost part of their healthy village.

The problem is this. Most home health agencies have an affiliated hospital from which they recieve referrals. Edgerton Hospital separated itself from the home health agency and Care Center because it wanted to affiliate with St. Mary's Hospital. All the orthopedic surgeons took their practices to Fort Atkinson because they have better operating rooms. You can't compete if "your" hospital has no patients.
On Could anyone have prevented fatal crash on Highway 59?

I live on Hwy 59; I know where I am going, and even I found it difficult to navigate the new road. It was very confusing when they initially opened it and poorly marked. The road ends very abruptly where the accident occurred. At first, they left a big pile of rocks at the dead end. It was poorly planned and poorly designed at this spot. Unfortunately. someone died.

Readers of these articles should note that very little is said about the nursing home's plans. If the citizens want a nursing home, they need to let the foundation know this. The foundation raises money for both buildings.

The nursing home and assisted living are separate from the hospital. They have their own plans.
On Officials: Raw sewage in flood water
Posted on June 16 at 2:55 p.m. ( Suggest removal )
I think it is very irresponsible for Fort Atkinson and Jefferson to have bypassed their wastewater treatment plants, thereby letting raw sewage flow into the river. Not only are they adding to the pollution already present in the river, but they are causing a health hazard and exposing neighbor communities to disease.
