So sorry SPARK, to many other options out there. Better options, that cost the tax payer less. They should be glad to have their jobs. They need to be held accountable to keep there jobs.
They can bend or look for work else where. I will say it again, and again. Many, many experienced or new teacher's who would love to have a job .

Vigilandy,, teachers always have excuses when students don't succeed , some how it's never there fault. Baloney. Teachers can convince them selves of those excuse's but no one else. It's about time teacher's are held responsible for how their students do academically. Bring on the merit pay.

Vigilandy,, good please stay away. What these teacher's seem to be forgetting there are many options out there , besides brick and mortar schools. Many students are using these options, because brick and mortar can not compete with the virtual schools. They should be glad to have jobs, they have better benefits than most. They need to stop the whining. The district needs to take a hard stand, and say don't like it leave. Many unemployed teachers who would love your job.

maybe Milton should do, what the Rhode Island school did fire all teachers, when no agreement can be made. Plenty of good teachers who want to work, and are happy to have a job. Get rid of the union.

On Former deputy pleads not guilty to sex charge

related Chelsea? Sounds like it. He is a creep. He has no ethics drinking with a bunch of under age kids. He should have been ticketed with contributing to the delinquency of a minor as well, for being there and doing nothing about the underage drinking.

IT does not matter if it was his party or not. HE allowed the minors to drink, as a officer off duty or not he had the responsibility to put a stop to it. Creep. He should sit in jail for a while. Not so he can see what its like to be in jail, so he can realize he not above the law. Which its clear he thought he was.

thekid3477??? So someone pointing out the facts bothers you? The facts are this guy is a dufus. He let underage kids drink, drank with them. It is not a leap to think he was so impaired that he did what he is accused of. People should be upset with this guy, we were suppose to be able to trust him and now we know he should not be allowed to have authority over anyone, not even the neighborhood stays.

On Fire the teachers? When schools fail, it may work

Posted on March 6 at 5:20 a.m. ( Suggest removal )

For too long teacher's have blamed everyone but themselves when students fail. The student, the parents, the administration, grandma, and the family dog.

It's about time they are held accountable. I would seriously get rid of the union. I think there is a good chance if it was not for this Union these teacher's would still have their jobs. It's the Union's who push for them not to take less than what they want, even when they know there is not much chance of it.

It did say some of these teacher's may be rehired. I am sure not all are bad,, but too many are.

On New mediation program brings lenders, homeowners together

I had always heard 'the bank does not want your home.' But when hard times hit us, I found that was not true. Our loan was actually with a service r though. My husband worked for the same place for over 20 years before getting laid off. We had savings which over two years and the time we ended up in court we were down to less than 1500, medical bills etc.. We tried getting them to work with us, to get no answer from them. They filed foreclosure on us, when we went to court we told the judge how many times we had contacted them, and had the signed postal receipts to show they did, even though they claimed they never got them. It proved they did, 3 different times. The judge, the one mentioned in this article what he knew about this. He denied knowing anything. So the judge continued the hearing, so we could try to work things out. FUNNY>>> how then the servicer replied to us, 30 days later we were back in court and had the lawyer tell the Judge that they were still 'working' on it. The Judge told him that he was going to hold this over for another 30 days, and we had no resolution by the time we came back in 30 days he was going to send it to mediation. My husband at this point had just been called back to work, so things were looking good. Within that 30 days the servicer modified our loan, something we had been trying to get them to do for the last year, and it took this Judge putting the pressure on them to do it. SINCE this happened to us, the STATE HAS sued this mortgage company and servicer and come to a agreement with them, over their business practices. I am glad to hear there is a service out there for people, who might not be as fortunate to get a great judge like we did, or to keep it out of court in the first place.

But when people say ' the bank does not want your house. " Do not believe it, some do. Some want to take the stimulus money and homes.
