I used a bit of Round-up today also. I had ornamental grass that got quackgrass mixed into it. I got away with it for a couple of years, but today was the perfect time to dig up those grasses, spray round-up and start the bed all over again

It's always important to remember that Rotary Gardens does not get any money from Janesville or Rock County - none of your tax dollars go there! (unlike Tallman House, ice arena, golf courses, etc).

You address PhD's as Dr. when they are in their working environment (e.g. the classroom or at a conference) but not outside of that. Medical doctors traditionally are called Dr. at all times, working or not. I suppose it's because they could be asked to perform their duties even when they're off the clock (people sure ask for a lot of free medical advice!).
On Organic tradition continues to grow

Any certified organic product in the US undergoes the same rules and regulations by the USDA, whether it's from Wisc. or New Mexico. I do agree with these growers that buying local is an excellent choice on many levels- fresher product, less transportation costs, and supporting local economy. I would hesitate to trust foreign "organic", especially China (who, BTW, provides Walmart with much of their "organic" foods). Don't know about the regulations in Mexico.

Good one, Missmarysunshine! I think we've had no snow because my neighbor put up a snow fence for the first time (in a highly residential area!). So my prediction is 0 inches.

That's an amazingly high number of board members - why would any organization have that many? They can't all be effectual. I can't imagine what board meetings are like!

Your annual perennial move? Sounds like you! Remember, every time you move plants they sleep the first year, creep the second and then leap the third year.
