Money, status or being a vet has nothing to do with how addiction hits. It can hit anyone at anytime without warning. Whatever reasons he may have upon entering rehab, let's just hope that he receives an awakening while staying there, and comes out with the appropriate outcome....sobriety, and possibly self respect and love.

This is exactly why I hate driving on Hwy 14. There is far too much traffic on that road for only two lanes, and I am not one to speed, so I always have people on my rear end, and it just makes me a nervous wreck. I will drive two hours out of my way just to avoid the stress. I so hope this person recovers. ((prayers))

I despise the fact that this is being so public. Addiction is such a horrible thing, and to have to explain your addiction over and over again, I can only imagine it makes it that much worse. This man is in my prayers, and I hope that he can come to terms with his internal turmoil and return to happiness, or find it.

Just saw it on the news, one dead, one seriously injured from the SUV. The truck that ran the stop sign, no injuries. OMG....this couple is from Orf, and that is where we are from. I am beside myself worrying it was someone I know.... prayers to this family!

I am SO happy that I did not read this was a consequence of drinking and driving. I was actually holding my breath the whole time I was reading this waiting for that to be written. Thank heavens for once an early morning accident, was just that, an accident. And of course they are going to find some reason to ticket....and we really don't know what the speed was, they truly may have been speeding in the construction zone, which is hazardous, and hopefully being ticketed for it, will promote safe driving in the future.

SOMEONE SPECIAL....ahmen! It is only a matter of time that our whole entire country becomes one big civil war; it seems almost impossible for anyone to agree on anything. It is sickening. I am so sad for this family. I have had three sick children for over a week now, and myself had been in the hospital for pneumonia, and this is a very scary time for parents. I have been a nervous wreck for over a month concerning my own health and my childrens'. Compassion and respect should certainly be a part of today's epidemics; including staying home when your sick...yes, that means don't even go to the store!! Please.
