On Four vie for three seats on Edgerton School Board

It is mentioned twice in this article that Edgerton has had declining enrollment. Do any of these candidates have an answer for that? 4K is not the problem, it is of great concern to see two candidates mention that as a possible place to cut. Residents of Edgerton should ask for a copy of the 2011-2012 budget and ask why some made drastic cuts and others made none.

If some jerk would have gotten off the interstate rather than try to pull a u-turn this accident would not have happened. We need better drivers before we need better roads.

Did any of you bother to read the article?
None of what was said in the article was worth getting fired over. Obama cant handle the heat.

1) A 95 Chevy Lumina runs from many high horsepower squads from McFarland to Beloit because the operator of that 95 Chevy Lumina DOES NOT give a crap about anyone else and will bob and weave in and out of traffic, go the wrong way, and cross roads with no regard for the other people on the road. The many high horsepower squads however will take care to not put any more people in danger by recklessly following the 95 Chevy Lumina.
2) Without calling every squad it cant be verified if they do or do not have spike strips.
3) Again without calling all deputies it cant be verified if they do or do not know how to pit.
4) While driving down the interstate the wrong way may be considered deadly threat and cause for the use of deadly force, there were other issues involved in this situation which may have warranted a different apporach.
Now that we've covered all of that I have a few questions for you:
1) When you are sitting there listening to men and women risk their lives chasing a criminal do you think about those men and women, or do you just start running your mouth about how you think it should be?
2) Would you like to pay out of your pocket for spike strips for those squads that might not have them? Then they could all have them, would that make you feel better?
3) Do you know how to pit? If so would you like to take the time to teach any of those deputies that might not know how to do it how to do it? Then they'd all know how to pit would that make you feel better?
4) If you think that what today's jerk did required deadly force why dont you go to Police School, learn how to become an officer, work your way through the ranks and become the person who makes decisions like that. Maybe just maybe if you had to live it you wouldnt be so quick to run your mouth. Your questions are not valid not matter how you want to justify it.

Just think if all 27 of you who posted here, and all the countless others who have posted similar thoughts on this topic elsewhere would actually DO SOMETHING about it other than post on a message board, maybe change would happen.
We cant just sit back and complain about the way things are, we have to STAND UP and be heard. We dont want this man in our community, we dont want this man on our streets, leave him in jail where he belongs. Write your senators, congressmen, heck write the president. We need to work together to make the following words true once again.
"And that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth."

On School board could vote on dress code Tuesday

What is wrong with jeans? They make some very nice colored jeans these days. Torn, raggy jeans, yes but I see nothing wrong with a nice pair of dress jeans. As a parent I do not want to walk into the school and feel like I am dressed as a slob, I also do not want to see a teacher dressed "several steps above me." I think the dress code needs to be more relevant to the direction society is headed, not going backwards. Nice dressy jean are perfectly acceptable!
