This has a lot to do with Money.
If Bret would wind up in the Number 2 position in GB this would seriously cut into his endorsement $$$$$$$$
Remember who was on that plane when they arrived in GB, Bret his wife and his AGENT
So His Agent would not allow Bret to lose this power, and his (the agent) commissions.
Now that he is a JET he will have access to a much larger endorsement pool.
It should take less than a week for Bret to show up on NY TV in a new add.
Not to mention the entirely new market for Jersey Sales with his name on it. All those new Jets fans as well as those Farve fans who will put away there green and gold for a new Green and White. Lots of new $$$$$$$ for Bret and his agent.
Speeking of endosement adds, Im so confused by the Cell phone add he is in. It just makes no sense now.

A goods parent will limit the amount of Junk the kids get.
An easy way to do that is to limit the number of houses visited. It should't be a competition to see whose bag is fuller at the end of the night.
And the less candy coming into the house, the less fat going into the Parents
