I manage Game Crazy in Beloit, and I have to say that despite doing nearly double the business of black Friday last year, that on the whole today was exceedingly busy and remarkably pleasant. I didn't get cussed out once, which is a Thanksgiving miracle! I have many years of retail experience, and the people in the state line area are some of the most pleasant I have ever had the privilege of serving.

I really do think the Walmart incident had a lot to do with the regional culture. I seriously have a hard time seeing that happen here. I had a minor injury on the sales floor this year and everyone in the store stopped to make sure I was OK. I am seriously proud of the people in our community and the graciousness I see on a daily basis.
