I agree with RAF, it's long overdue. Anyone who has retired from any position should not be allowed to work again.

All the bad mouth bantering back and forth and not one mind has been changed. Amazing, isn't it? When will many of you recognize that neither of your parties deserves your support?

Joe65, I agree with much of what you have stated (sadly), but part of this statement - "Most partisan people feel the way they do because they DO put America first, and, right or wrong, they feel that the other side is doing great damage to America." would likely be more accurate if it said "partisan people feel the way they do because they put THEMSELVES first, not America. I have yet to meet anyone who has all the answers and is always correct (although some believe they are), therefore, logic suggests that some form of compromise is logical and likely best for our country.

Joe65, of course you have every right to choose a party to favor. What would be nice is if neither side was blinded by the partisanship of both parties. One can also choose to favor America without favoring either of the two major parties. And that would be be a refreshing change. I can remember a time when united meant something. Can you?

If you are unwilling to do this it's likely you are unwilling to work. You don't deserve a free ride.

What is truly amazing here is that some of you seem able to either criticize the other side or justify your side for the sake of your position. If something is wrong it is wrong. Please quit being so hypocritical as to suggest your party is better than the other party to justify the loss of lives, whether that number be 4 or 4,500. Those of you who do so make me sick, especially those of you who have served in the military. I must ask "were you serving one party or the other or were you serving your country?" Are mistakes made? Of course they are. Should you gloat about those mistakes to make your side look better? I think not. You partisans are the real problem we face as a nation.

916WI, which is it, do you want Obama admonished or Walker left alone? If you want Obama admonished you must be defending someone who you state has done similar things...no? Yet you state you are defending nobody. It seems hard to believe, ...no?

916WI, so for this article you are supporting Walker (you must be so proud based on what is written in the article). However, for the article re: the agency's head resigning you are not defending anyone, merely attacking someone not even part of the article...no? Your mention of having half a brain and being a supporter of Walker's seems so appropriate, even though that is not what you intended.

916WI, you agree with HighRoad's 6:24 comment...no?

dtb and DickTracy, I apologize for not pointing out that I was being sarcastic. It seems that some think only public employees should be subject to these criteria being proposed. Apparently retiring from the military and seeking other employment is ok. It's amazing how some like to write the rules for others that fit their unique circumstances. Then again, we've become very familiar with his line of "thinking".
