On Fairgrounds neighbors learn about cell tower

Why would the county even consider leasing an area for a tower on the current site if the long term objective is to move? The property is most likely to redevelop into residential and a tower smack dab in the middle would make it far less valuable to potential purchasers. Duh!

On How will GM loss affect my taxes?

Oh you can be sure our taxes will go higher with the elimination of companies. The city will never slash spending to the level it should be. They just use comparisons to "other" cities our size as an excuse. Do you let your children do something wrong because "everbody else" is doing it?

57Steve: You are about the only one here who is on the right track. It is our energy policy, or lack of one, that has gotten us into this mess. If we do not start on all tracks right now this problem will not go away. However, each and every time a comprehensive energy plan is introduced in congress, or even parts of one, the greens shoot it done with the support of your elected senators.

Hmn, No drilling in ANWR, or off any of our coasts. No refineries allowed to be built for 30 years. No nuclear reactors allowed, no drilling in Colorado, Utah, Montana where there are millions of barrels of reserve oil. I wonder which political party supported by the greenies has caused this? Oh the party of GM thats who.

dcsnick you are so wrong about the workers being LUCKY to have the union. The union who consistantly works to support the very politicians that vote against 1. drilling in alaska 2. drilling offshore of our own coasts 3. building nuclear plants in the US 4. building refineries THEREFORE HURTING THE MEMBERS WHO SUPPORT THEM It is just so stupid it is beyond belief

It is so strange that the union continues to support the Democarats and their policies of no drilling for oil in Alaska and off our own coasts where there is plenty. Also no refineries allowed built for over 20 years, no nuclear etc etc. Are you surprised at the price of gas and the ruination of our industry? Dont be, keep voting the obstructionists in.
