hanna, there is nothing to defend. It is a good cause, brewers already acknowledged this. Please read through the discussion to see the valid concerns that were expressed.

You are really putting a thorn into the whole situation by asking questions that have already been answered in a thoughtful and positive way.

It sounds to me like Brewer is actually giving out a dose of reality. What starts out small can become very big, very fast. Which is what looks to be happening here. In that case, looking to the future is the best way to ensure that the giving can continue.

Brewer has repeated stated that this is a good thing, however since it has been ongoing some precautions might be in order to assure that
1 - people don't get hurt
2 - items don't get damaged
3 - people aren't taking advantage of other's good will.

If this is the last weekend, what will be done with everything that is donated and not given away?

I have a college degree (Bachelor of Science) and am currently employed in the field of my degree. I chose my degree based on what I wanted to do with my life, not on what I would be paid. I am paid less than I am worth, but I do it because I love the work I do. I believe that we are comparing apples to apples - yearly salary to yearly salary, education to education. Of course when I complete my Masters I will earn more money, much the same way you will earn more with more education. I work 12 months a year and you are contracted for 9 months.... which means you make more than I do (on the assumption of an equal yearly salary).
