good point momof5. i think that is exactly what it is. and your point about the bars are dead on. i stated earlier that i was in legends a few weeks ago and was asked, right in front of a bunch of people, if i wanted to buy some "powder". This is going on all the time, and at more bars than just legends, and the police and/or city officials dont seem to care. Meemees is a dump i agree with most on that and should probably be closed down. However, the city seems to have a vendetta agaist halbach. Maybe because he speaks the truth about what is going on in this city and the higher ups dont like that.

mark707, you should play the lottery. because you must be the luckiest person on earth. I know 3 people that have owned a KIA and they have nothing but bad things to say. Always breaking, drive like they have no suspension. and unfortunately a girl ran a stop sign and totaled out my grand prix and her insurance company gave me a rental from enterprise and it was a KIA. man that was the worst car ive ever driven. terribly uncomfortable, rattled over every bump, broke down on side of highway 11, and the radio even stunk. Id rather push my Chevys than own one of those rattle traps. and oh yeah my rental only had 8000 miles.

also gazettefan, as Ive said before i think the place is a dump and a terrible eyesore for this town. but to say Halbach is "forcing" those women is ludacris. it may not be a reputable business but its a business none the less.

screemen meemees is a total dump. probably should be shut down. but for the person or persons who said that Mr. Halbach is preying on these women that is RIDICULOUS! Does he go to their houses and drag them in to dance? Nope. They come down there of their own free will, and willingly degrade themselves. NO ONE is forcing them to do so.

katiepoo is correct on the fact that that neighborhood in no way shape or form needs another bar. heck janesville as a whole doesnt need another bar.

i should state that i am not defending that dump. however I do believe it is a vendetta the city of jansville has against Mr. Halbach. He doesnt run the most reputable businesses here in janesville, true. However, have you been to Legends bar downtown lately? talk about drugs! holy cow. Stopped in there a couple weeks ago and was asked if I wanted a little powder. But the city is so focused on Halbach they dont care about anything else.

if they were serving alcohol without a license im sure the undercover policemen would have charged them with that in a heartbeat.
