richardcranium- I think your user name is a perfect description of Goodrich. I also think you completely miss the point of the posts. We are not saying all permit approvals should be based upon character. We are saying, given the past track record of Goodrich with his lack of consideration regarding rules and regulations i.e. demo without permit, alteration of historical integrity, etc. he should not be granted a permit. And most of all given his fraudulent, criminal activity he should not be given the opportunity to swindle, rob, steal, con, and financially destroy more hard working individuals. A project like this will require contractors to do work. He has ripped off countless contractors over the years for work performed. He hires people do to a job ( whether he has the money or not ) and then when he can't pay he makes up excuses and fabricates stories to delay and deny payment. In the end people have to sue him to get paid and spend more money on attorneys to get some of their money back as you can see from his CCAP http://wcca.wicourts.gov/pager.do;jsessi...

These are only a taste of all the people he has screwed over. These are the ones that spent the money to go after him, or had any left after he swindled them.

Yes, what a guy. If you look at the Rock County GIS site you will also see that the property taxes are delinquent just like all the other properties he is in control of. NOT OWNS but in control of.

If he gets money for this project it will certainly be robbed from Peter to pay Paul

Oakhill ( Ignoramus ), possibly you are correct. Maybe people should just stay in their homes pull the shades and ignore neglect, destruction, and deterioration of their neighborhoods. For that matter they can stick their wallets and purses out the front door while Goodrich comes around to collect them.

This type of fraudulent activity has been going on for the last decade. He cannot succeed at any legitimate venture. That is why he has to rip off people who have worked hard all their lives. Janesville is riddled with his failed business attempts.

Giving this guy permission to move forward is like setting a pedophile loose in a grade school. 789456 is absolutely correct, he is not a good business man. He is dishonest and deceitful with all of his business dealings. A good business man does not have to lie, cheat, and steal to make a living. Surely if Apex Management is considering financing this shyster they have received erroneous information.

Well said Proartist. The work on the Mercy Manor Buildings started over three years ago when the economy was robust. He still has not paid the architect for the work he completed back when the whole project started. His excuses and stories are just part of the whole tangled web of deceit he lives in. Rob Peter to pay Paul, put out fires when they become out of control, and do first and ask questions later. No matter how much perfume you spray on a turd, it still stinks.

Proartist, I read the link to the Town of Fulton meeting where Goodrich went before the board for a “ Claim for Unlawful Tax “. What a joke. I especially liked the part about: his Foundation has expanded in community services to help churches reach out and give community CBRF assisted living.

Let’s see, he doesn’t want to follow any rules or ordinances and he doesn’t want to pay any property taxes on his personal home. The guy is not even a pastor anymore. His church ousted him years ago.
I drove by this lavish home today and it certainly is not the home of a humble, public serving man. I see his little modest Jaguar also at The Lovejoy Building. Everything about him screams: Look at me, I’m a big shot, idolize me.
But I don’t pay my bills until I’m sued and have to.

Diligent would be the last word I would use to describe this project. Hello!! That is the point of the article, it's been sitting for 2 years. You are right on one point: You, I and others don't have 5 Mil committed to this project, but then again NEITHER DOES HE. Goodrich has not secured financing therefore, no one has committed 5 mil. Looks like the only people who have committed financially to the project are the ones that have done work and not been paid and filed liens on the property.
