On 'Castle Doctrine' becomes law

I hope people that disagree with the concealed carry law realize it's not the people who have the permit you have to worry about, it's all the people that have illegally acquired guns you need to worry about. It's not like people are waiting to get their permit to go on a shooting rampage or commit a crime. I doubt a bank robber would go through the training and then wait 3-4 weeks to get his permit in the mail before robbing a bank.
As for the castle doctrine, it's giving you the right to defend yourself and your property if someone is trying to cause you harm. It's ridiculous to think someone could break into your house and harm your family and YOU would be the guilty one because you fought back. Of all the places in the world you should feel safe, your home is number one.

Woodchuck - They paid into social security. They deserve those checks. I pay into it and won't be getting the check I deserve when I retire in 35 years.

So if he did start pardoning criminals you'd be okay with that?

I'll be glad when this recall is over. The amount of hatred in this state is disgusting. He's not pardoning criminals and people are mad. If he was pardoning criminals the same people would be mad. Let's just admit you hate him and he can do absolutely nothing right. I voted for him and think he's doing a wonderful job but I almost hope he gets recalled so I don't have to be subjected to this for another three years.

"Also if this same sex union thing becomes a reality I will no longer be able to wear my ring in public separate from being seen with my wife, otherwise I could be misconstrued as something I am not."
God forbid someone thinks you're one of those "gays". I don't get your reasoning. If you walk around without your wife and you're wearing a ring, you think people are going to think you're gay? That's the most absurd thing I've ever heard. Surely it goes both ways - as it is now, if I walk around without a ring surely I must be gay, right? Couldn't be that I'm just in a committed relationship with my boyfriend and am not married or engaged to be married. I'm obviously gay or I'd be wearing a wedding band, right?

Are all the caps in this article really necessary? It's like it's an angry rant from someone's Facebook page, not an opinion piece that would be published in a paper or on their website. Maybe he's unaware that when you spell in all caps, it's like yelling at someone. That first paragraph was exhausting!

"...Oh wait, he can't even finish a 4-year degree at Marquette. Good thing he is making decisions for the whole state. I know a kid at McDonalds that has the same amount of schooling, maybe he can be in charge of the DOT or something".
I'm soooo tired of people attacking others just because they didn't go to college. It doesn't make him or the guy who works at McDonalds any less intelligent than someone who went to school for four years. For instance, Bill Gates dropped out of college. The guy is obviously a total moron. I mean what did he do, help start Microsoft? Any moron could do that right?

So what if they know the intruder. If they broke in the with intent to kill you, you wouldn't fight back because you knew them?! I don't care who it is - if someone breaks into my house and threatens me and my family, you better believe I'm going to protect them. I'm not going to let them hurt my family because I know them. Why are people making excuses for criminals?
