On Town of Beloit police chief faces discrimination suit

Posted on February 19 at 11:19 a.m. ( Suggest removal )

not sure who your speaking of when talking about re-thinking their position. but what i do know is if it is the person I think your talking about it will never happen because he has strong beliefs in whats right and that will not change because he never did and never will "owe" anybody anything. i am sure it will not be long (if it has not started already) before he becomes a project or a target, but "if we get him, we get him clean." what everyone has lost sight of is the police department and board is in place to "protect and serve" (as in the citizens and its employees, not "one man") everyone thinks wilson did this great service and great job when he arrived, all he did was get a copy of the helser report and implement the changes suggested, if tilley had done the same he would still be there.

Jason, apply at Beloit Township P.D., you will fit right in. And, if you play your cards right you will get promoted to Sgt. and who knows maybe make Chief one day.

On Two town of Beloit officers disciplined

This is another play on words and cover-up by the Town Administrator Bob Museus. Museus uses the word Officers when he should be revealing the real truth, a Sgt. and the Chief himself are being disciplined, why else would he refer to it as a chain of command issue. There is a severe administrative problem at that police department and before it is over a loads of taxpayer money will be spent defending a Chief that should have been sent packing months ago.

Nice to see a dirty cop removed for office. Maybe Beloit Township P.D. needs to follow Edgerton P.D.'s example.

On Town of Beloit investigates racial slurs

Posted on February 10 at 9:22 p.m. ( Suggest removal )

A letter of reprimand?? Is'nt management held to a higher standard? So if an Officer uses a racial slur what is the punishment, a verbal warning? The ultimate responsibility lies with the Town Administrator and the Town Board to do what is best for the community and it citizens. I personally believe having a racist Police Chief goes against everything this country stands for, especially during this historic point in time (a black President). An interesting question needs to be asked, what race(s) did he target? Once this is exposed my thought is the leaders that represent the minority(s) should be asking for the Chiefs head in a basket.
