ok, both of my middle school children have cell phones. I let them take them to school for emergencies only. They know to lock them in their lockers during the day, as they are not allowed to be used during the school day at their school. For those of you who think that someone is always at the school to notify them of emergencies. you are wrong!! the reason i let my kids take them is that they are in after school sports and there is no time to come home and get the phone after school. sometimes practice can end early or be cancelled and my children are too far away to walk. so should i just let them catch a ride with someone i dont know? or walk by themselves?

I was very excited when I learned that a local team was playing last night when i sat down to watch b-ball. So before watching the game i was for sure going for Beloit, until i saw the intros. Showing personality? i and my husband were both disgusted by their behavior.
sarahb- so when i saw a beloit student flipping off the camera during the game, u would call that good behavior?
what a disappointment

On Illegal fish stocking a threat to revived lake

Kyle Allen is a hypocrite. To have someone charged with doing the same thing he has done many times over is a cowardly thing to do. I'm sure he didn't mention to the DNR that he to has done this many times when the warden was writing the $1133 ticket. It sounds to me like Kyle has a personal grudge against the one who was charged. I too have heard him tell people to "go dump 'em up in the lake" when they have had fish they had caught at other locations. It sickens me that Kyle acts as if this was his own personal lake. You can go through the park on any given day and see him sitting in his truck bragging to various passerbyers about what "he" has done and plans on doing to the lake. I know. I was a victim and to someone who didn't know any better, he would have them believe that he is funding this project himself as well as making all of the decisions on the best way to restock the lake. Oh, so you are a Biologist too? Come down off your high horse and just go hang out at the gas station to make fun of everybody that stops in which seems to be the other thing you do if you are not hanging out in the park.
