On Man forced from car in Walmart lot

Posted on July 19 at 6:02 p.m. ( Suggest removal )

The robbers were waiting in a white SUV for the man (with the mercedes) to return to his car from inside the store. The 'victim' was not returning in another car, the robbers were in another car. When he got to his car they exchanged pleasantries and the guy was getting something out of his car when the 2 guys started beating him up. While this was happening, a 3rd person left in the white SUV.
Someone I know saw the whole thing and actually gave the police a description of the guys and the vehicle.

I guess we should stop calling Chicken Pox, chicken pox too! I mean look how the poultry industry is suffering from that.

Milton Ave was completely dark at 10pm. It was kinda weird driving it in almost complete darkness. There were police officers at intersection since the traffic lights were out.

I don't care if it is a fundraiser or not! Aren't there better, healthier ways to raise funds, like perhaps a 5k walk/run!

Steve, I have no problem buying local, but the people at Rogan's Shoes are not trained to analyze your feet and how you walk/run and recommend the proper shoes for you. When you are talking about something as important as running shoes, I would rather travel to Madison and get what is right for me.

I have never been a runner either till the beginning of this year. My daughter runs cross country and I decided it would be something for her and I to work on together. We are planning on doing our first 5K together in June. The YWCA has a Race Against Racism that we are going to do.
My biggest problem has been finding shoes that are right for me. After 3 trips to Madison to Fleet Feet for shoes, I went to Movin' Shoes (also in Madison on Park Street). Come to find out Fleet Feet had me in shoes for over-pronating and I actually under-pronate. And as an added bonus, Movin' Shoes is about 10% cheaper than Fleet Feet. I also had some issues with chaffing, but thanks to a wonderful product called "Body Glide" that is no longer an issue!
I too have found that I have trouble pacing myself outside. I like doing the treadmill because I know how fast I can do and have been working on pushing myself to go a little faster each time, but I am ready for it to be nice out so I can go outside and run!

Well done to all involved. It was truly amazing to watch this unfold on tv today.
But on a lighter note, the best part of this story has to be the ferry captains name!

On "Oh! My nose!"

Posted on January 7 at 10:25 p.m. ( Suggest removal )

I have tried both the netipot and the sinus rinse bottle. The sinus rinse bottles are by far easier to use. The netipot can be kind of tricky. But either one does make a HUGE difference.
Sinus infections are no fun! I had been getting sinus infections every other month for about a year when my doctor ordered a CT scan of my sinuses. Turned out I had a deviated septum and major blockage in my sinuses from a history of chronic sinus infections. The doc said he was surprised I could breath out of my nose at all, even when I wasn't sick. So they did surgery to fix all of it and I feel 100 times better since. I never realized just how tired and run down I felt all the time till I wasn't fighting an infection all the time.
Anyway, hope you find something that helps!

On Three teaching positions could fall under the axe

Prevention- I think the 'instructional managers' would be people that are teachers already and then would receive their salary plus an additional $1,100 to $1400 a year. (but then again I could be wrong, it has happened once before)
