Mercy has owned that property for 10 years, they have been planning that facility for longer than dean/st.marys has even thought about janesville. The main reason they fast tracked this was so ambulances didnt change the route to St. Marys, which is a smart business plan, they have a higher classification than St Marys and offer more Trauma care, there is nothing bad about this..Thank god i dont have to cross the river from milton for an emergency room...

wahoo what an uneducated comment, no healthcare provider transfers people so they dont "die" in the system. And Mercy hasnt closed the hospice program, get your facts straight. They closed the ride program because not enough people were using it but they still offer, hospice, options, a homeless shelter, all free for those in need, how many of those does Dean offer?

It makes me sick how unproffessional and 1-sided the gazette is, why would you put a sub-headline like "Staff to receive one week of training before new Mercy clinic/ER open" which is completely false and leads people to believe thats all they get? Its "Orientation" they are already accredited nurses and doctors, its not training, its orientation with the new building, which is more than enough time.....
.
I know the gazette has it out for Mercy but the editor needs to go back to 1st semester journalism school and learn how to print headlines that arent biased and misleading..

Its nice what they are doing BUT, it is a complete waste of resources, time and money. Social workers should be doing this or the cops should be "donating" time to do it, it is completely unnacceptable that they are doing this on the taxpayer clock not to mention 15 of them at the same time...Nice program, waste of my money.
