On At Milton Middle School, every student, teacher gets an iPad

There is a big difference in reading from a computer/ipad than there is from a book. Go talk to an eye doctor. Electronic devices are hard on the eyes.
This makes my decision to homeschool my children more concrete. Less screen time, more hands on time.

Oh geeze. I believe Jesse is family to the deceased. She has every right to say what she wants.
I'm sorry for your loss, Jesse, and for the ignorance of others.

Ahh, I love when everyone just assumes things. Makes for entertaining comments.
And honestly, I think when there is an accident on a roadway, the road should get closed. There are several people on the road, assisting with the accident and the rubber-neck drivers who just HAVE to see whats going on can hit one. Just not worth it, IMO.

On When it comes to child safety seats, even the pros can get confused

Some bad info in the comments here...
Imjustsaying, how many serious car accidents were you in during your child hood? You're alive, so I'm going to say NONE. Very lucky. "When you know better, you do better."
Frogger, my son will be 4 years old next month. STILL REAR FACING. 38lbs, 41". Happy and SAFE. There are 0 documented cases of broken legs from rear facing beyond 1 year, but a forward facing child is 40% more likely to suffer a broken leg in an accident.
"Broken leg, cast it! Broken neck, casket."
I will 100% pick my son breaking a leg over breaking his neck.
Not all car seats expire in 6 years. Some are 8, or even 10. Always check with the manufacture.
