Prounion, I'm just mean and ornery. Doesn't mean all Christians are.
BillNewbie, BibleDude, DrTalk were very civil and patient with your sophmoric mocking. They put up with you longer than was humanly possible, thereby proving the existence of the supernatural. I'm not half the man those guys are. You are a loud (in print) mocker who is frightened to be alone with his own thoughts. You live by the creed "I mock, therefore I am." Afraid that there might be a God you must stay on the attack everyday. Fear is the only motivation strong enough to fuel your obsession with God.
.
I'm just complying and giving you a framework for your little world here. I'm helping to keep your thread alive. This is where you get to show off your gift of reason, your throne of judgment. I'm supplying the tension to make this little microcosm exciting for you. I am your friend, don't hate me. (((Hug)))

I owe you DiGriz, thanks. You're right. In response to footvillegirl, I meant that I don't belittle someone for having an abortion.
.
In inconvenient's case I shared some personal and painful details in order to make a point about how easy it is to kill a baby, she turned and beat the hell out of me with it. In turn I was mean, judgmental and belittling. She showed no mercy. I treated her the way she wanted to be treated. Awful woman of poor character.

footvillegirl18, I don't believe morality is defined by whether or not we have peace about what we do. If everyone does what THEY think is right then we are in big trouble - anarchy would rule. We live with the rule of law and it's kept America viable for over 200 years now.
.
I don't belittle people or judge them, but I can discern whether an action is healthy or harmful. You teach your son those kinds of lessons every day. We all judge actions and behaviors.
.
Words mean something. We define and redefine words all the time in these threads. It helps when we define terms. I define murder as the unjust taking of a life. You and I are arguing over whether or not it's just to take the life of a baby in the womb. Pro-choicers like to approach this argument from the 'little mass of cells' side of development. They say, "Are you saying that 4 little cells are a baby?"
.
I say let's start at the other side of the baby's journey. If a baby has been delivered but her head is still in the mother, is it a baby? I hope you would say yes, but the partial birth abortion advocates say it is just to kill that baby.
.
What about the day before that, when the baby is still in the womb? What about 3 months earlier, what is arbitrarily called the 2nd trimester? Is that a baby?
.
Who gives the mother the right to decide who will live and who will die? The pro-choicer will keep bringing up the slippery slope - rape, incest, massive birth defects. Do the research, tell me how many abortions are actually performed for those reasons.
.
I have 4 daughters footvillegirl18, I care very much about their health care but none of us have the right to decide who lives and dies.
.
Finally, you said, "Now that I have my son I must live with my decision and I love as much as I can, but I will always wonder."
I want to make sure I understand. Is he your son or a decision you made? What prevents you from loving him with everything you've got? How can you even wonder if you made the right decision?
I'm not judging you, I just want to understand what you mean by these sentiments.
.
I have letters and poems written by people close to me who had abortions. They do not have peace. Abortion will never leave a woman with peace.
.
Again footvillegirl18, I truly appreciate you sharing your feelings about such a difficult time in your life. I don't have to agree with your conclusions but I know your struggle and suffering and feelings are very real. You may not want God's blessings but I do pray that you and your son will have great joy together.

Dear wife of a house in evansville,
I can't unravel what you were trying to say in that last rant.
.
I want to save every baby I can. You fight for killing whomever you want. I've made my choice, you live with yours. It's Friday, chill.

It's the best and most concise answer I can find that would fit the format of this forum.
Pro, there is nothing anyone could say that would slow your non stop rant against God. You believe God does not exist, your cause is denial and yet day after day, post after post, you are obsessed with nothing. When asked "why do you care?" you claim some high morality.
All you really have is just your own consciousness. You decide what is right and what is wrong, you decide what is true and false, what exists and what doesn't. You can't prove God doesn't exist, furthermore you can't prove anyone exists. Your consciousness is the great judge so how do you really know that anyone elses consciousness really exists. You could be psychotic.
.
Why are you God obsessed? Why do you shove your beliefs in everyone's face? You go against the great minds of history and millions of people of faith. How do you justify such arrogance? Let your God obsession go, He is nothing to you. Find another form of entertainment.
.
Eat, drink and be merry Pro, eat, drink and be merry.

The bottom line is we don't base our laws and principles on narratives of war from the Bible. Numbers tells us what happened during a unique time in history.

The sword of war should spare women and children; but the sword of justice should know no distinction, but that of guilty or not guilty. This war was the execution of a righteous sentence upon a guilty nation, in which the women were the worst criminals. The female children were spared, who, being brought up among the Israelites, would not tempt them to idolatry. The whole history shows the hatefulness of sin, and the guilt of tempting others; it teaches us to avoid all occasions of evil, and to give no quarter to inward lusts. The women and children were not kept for sinful purposes, but for slaves, a custom every where practised in former times, as to captives. In the course of providence, when famine and plagues visit a nation for sin, children suffer in the common calamity. In this case parents are punished in their children; and for children dying before actual sin, full provision is made as to their eternal happiness, by the mercy of God in Christ.

Localboy, you write with a well-mannered, even and polite tone. You assume the best intentions in others, looking at both sides and offering moderation instead of sarcasm and ridicule.
.
How the heck did you get in here? This is where the tormented come to torment others. No sir, this peaceful and human approach of yours won't fit here. (It's refreshing though!)
