Things are regulated so much today because so many idiots out here are selfish abusive morons. Wierdos hang out in parks trolling for defenseless woman and children, boaters fisherman and hunters have become so wreckless that just trying to get out on the lake or in the woods nowadays is dangerous. Kids can't ride bikes on the sidewalks anymore because people are too pre-occupied or lazy to turn around and look over their shoulder when backing out of the driveway, running over children at an alarming rate. Regulation sucks Napalm, but we bring it on ourselves.

Steve had just stopped in to see my son at work minutes before the accident. My son heard it happen and ran out to find his good friend hurt badly. He is just devastated. It's a shame we're all in a hurry to affix blame and lose site of what a tragedy this accident is.

I just watched the video of Lt Altman about the cycle crash, and he did not say that safety equipment was required by law, what he said was the cyclists should have been following traffic laws and also wearing proper safety equipment. Sort of a misquote.

Chad_Vader I agree with you 100%. Your post is so far the most 'on the money'. The automakers produce what people want, unfortunately they can't re-tool their plants every time gas prices go up or down a couple of bucks.

Can anyone tell me what the law is presently for DUI ? I may catch some **** for this but, I feel that by your 3rd offense, you should be sitting behind bars for at least a year. Just because you haven't killed anyone yet, your odds increase with each offense (not counting the times he hasn't been caught).
