Dex does have a bullet- and stab-proof vest. Donations were made to Wisconsin Vest-A-Dog, and he actually had a vest before he even got started. The citizens of Rock County take care of their own!

When Bill first joined the board, I was not at all sure about him. I didn't see why a man that home schools his kids would want to be on the board, unless to screw everything up. But he has taken the time to learn about the district and has become someone I respect. He is a refreshing change after the last several years run by Tim Cullen (I know D. Severson was pres., but Cullen was really in charge). During that time, if you didn't kiss the ring of he and the president of the board, you were going to fired. It was as unprofessional as it gets. I am relieved at how professional things are again. Thanks, Bill!

Thank you phred. I was thinking the same thing. Donna Behn will be missed terribly. She is extemely dedicated and intelligent with creative ideas. I believe that if she wanted to take on the position, someplace would have one heck of a superintendent on their hands.
I don't know Rodonna as well, but I know she is very proud of her students and her staff. I know that she is dedicated to making Lincoln a great place.

Yes, Karo does have a vest. He and K-9 Hardy are both vested. Rock Co. is re-starting their K-9 program and will be needing vests for those K-9 officers. If interested in donating, check out www.wivestadog.org. There is a picture (or several) of Karo there as well.

That last post is pathetic. Oppressed? Puleeze!!!!!! I thought the right wingers were the ones always saying the victim mentality is what is wrong with our country over the last eight years. Now that you aren't in power, you are constantly whining about how badly you are treated. Grow up.

I'm sure she would love to hear she is making that kind of scratch! LOL! You aren't even in the ballpark.

The children are not face down on the floor while the police search with guns drawn! They are in their classrooms, and they are not allowed to be in the halls at all while the dogs check the LOCKERS or the cars. The students themselves are not searched.

Definitely take the time to go to the BIFF. I have gone both years, and it is really interesting. I have seen five films, and four of them were really fantastic (we won't talk about that last one). Hope to see you there!

I am very disappointed in a lot of people. Not that my political views should matter, but I am pretty centrist. I voted for some from both parties. Because there is a Dem in office right now, I will use them as my example, but I know it occurred with Pres. Bush also. I find it insulting when either side feels the need to resort to disrespectful namecalling of our President. I am also disgusted by those that call the "other side" (aren't we all Americans) some sort of cult. Examples: Obummer, Obami (as I said, just because he is in office - I know the same occured with Bush). Please try to be civil. I know if I don't like it I don't have to read, but I sometimes get good information or at least ideas to look into from these blogs. Please think about others feelings just for a second before you launch into vitriolic speech. I'll get off my soapbox now. Thanks for listening (reading).
