I haven't even bothered going hunting the past few years. I grew up in an area rich with wildlife, and my family along with nearby families all hunted together to get food for our families. And with living near a large public hunting grounds, we would routinely see the deer scatter into the nearby farmlands. But in the past few years, we are seeing fewer and fewer deer. The DNR has seemingly thinned the herd, to the point that most of us don't even bother going hunting anymore. There just aren't enough deer left to hunt. Our group of 15 hunters saw a total of 4 deer this year, vs the years of us getting more than 4 deer for food. I miss the thrill of the hunt, the bonding over the course of the season, and the taste of venison on my table. Most hunters will agree: the deer aren't there anymore.

FINALLY--AN UPDATE!!!! Her story has been pretty quiet since her fall 3 months ago. Nice to finally hear an update of her story and condition. Hopefully the settlement will be paid before the company finishes going belly up.

Do we really need Court St. and Milwaukee St. to become 2-way streets, let alone $1,000,000 to redesign the 5 points? I think we have all become quite used to the downtown traffic situation, and why waste taxpayer money to redesign it? Seems to work fine the way it is. Plus, if the 5 points were to be shut down, where would all the traffic be rerouted? Sounds like more of an inconvenience than anything.....

But if you can carry a gun, so can they........ 3 of them sound similar, but the pizza delivery robbery isn't the first time that's happened. I used to be a delivery driver, and we were told to carry only $20 in case of a robbery. Not to say I didn't have my tips or personal wallet on me at the time..... Never got robbed, but several drivers around the area have been mugged before--it doesn't always make headlines......
