@ janesvillean....I actually know what the school is called, but my knee jerk reaction to the article when I first read it this morning BEFORE they changed the title...it was titled Deaf School.....
I mean, that made less sense than what I came up with.

I remember a town I visited in CA had their choice of the size of container that would best suit their family...not one size fits all. Maybe the city could look into that.
Also, if one neighbor was out of town, the neighbor would share his container with anyone that needed extra room for a week....

This way of collecting trash has been used successfully all over the United States...it's amazing it has taken Janesville this long to figure it out!
I do agree, however, if the cost is not included in the taxes, like it is now, something else needs to happen. Any place I know that uses this collection, the renter or homeowner must pay a monthly fee on their water/sewer bill.

On Edgerton Community Outreach burdened with charity

I have left very nice clothes and donations at this facility. My 40 year old son died, and his stuff was not trash.
I know that they have a problem there, but not everyone donates junk.

Perhaps some of the recipients of the donations can spend some time there to help weed out donations coming in, or help the facility in some way.
