On Program expansion challenges school board

"She said the district could address a longtime criticism that the program serves mostly white, middle-class students from the east side."
Wait, I thought kids in the program were based on their scores, from highest to lowest, and those not making the cut were put on the waiting list? How do test scores differentiate between race and income/class level? How can anyone be underserved if they just don't make the cut, regardless of color?

"Cullen said he wants to continue his attempts to find common ground between Wisconsin Democrats and Republicans...."
That is a hilarious statement from someone who ran to ANOTHER STATE when he didn't like things.

It's interesting that you brought this up because some of the largest banks, such as Bank of America, will be charging a monthly fee for debit card use. M&I restructured their checking accounts and I got popped for $34 in fees that first month between the monthly checking account fee and debit card use fees. I closed my account there and moved to Blackhawk Community Credit Union. As banks try to get more profits from the consumers, I think we will eventually start moving back to a cash based society.

Amie & Liz are wonderful people with big hearts and love each other dearly. For you haters, if you loved someone as much as these two did, the world would be a better place. Just because you read the Bible or go to church doesn't make you a good person. In my book, action speaks louder than words and those 2 women have proven themselves. Good on them for having the courage to do this.

greenst, MLK did not say that first sentence. He DID say the following 3. Jessica Dovey, a recent college grad from Pennsylvania, said the first sentence in a tweet, quoting King, and Penn Jillette picked it up, retweeting it without the quotation marks on the last 3 sentences.
Just correcting the record.

My mom worked in the World Trade Center in building 6 when 9/11 happened. I had stayed home from college to care for my sick daughter and so I watched it all unfold on the tv. When the second plane hit and I saw all the debris and flaming jet fuel fly out of the side of the building, it was the most horrible, helpless feeling in the world because I was SURE she was burning up as she tried to escape the attack. She made her way along the Hudson and was on the last Staten Island ferry to leave Manhattan before they stopped service that day. She suffered from PTSD for a few years after the attack. I had a few wicked nightmares myself.
That being said, after 10 years, I have neither joy nor sadness over his death. It's just a chapter closed. Another crazed killer will take his place and I prefer that we look to the present and future and keep in mind the lesson of what happened on that day. We will always be a target for extremists and we must remain vigilant. Most importantly, we should support our troops who take on dangerous missions such as they did to kill bin Laden. In the end, they are tasked to do those things that very few will do and that our government orders them to accomplish. I'm thankful for them to be willing to do what our country asks of them, even 10 years later. In the end, you can run, but the United States will eventually catch you.

I originally found my family doc as a resident at Mercy South. I followed him out to Delavan and when he moved again, I had him recommend a doc from Mercy South. They mostly have residents there, but the preceptors remain year after year. I'm very no-nonsense and so my old doc hooked me up with my new one. Both have very similar styles. If you like a straight-forward guy, try Dr. Rex Kolste at Mercy South. He's not much of a hand-holder or mushy type, but he's competent, smart, he listens to you, and then gets to the point. I like that in a doctor.

Greg, you forgot to mention that in order to use Paw Print Park, you have to get a permit, at $15 for the year or $2 per day.
